SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A 20-year-old woman claims she was sexually assaulted for about 20 minutes during a Lyft ride in June.She's identified as Jane Roe in a civil lawsuit filed by Estey & Bomberger, LLP on Thursday. Roe tells 10News she has a disability and is unable to drive, she relies on Lyft to get to and from UCSD and around San Diego on a daily basis."I would use Lyft every day for about a year and a half," said Roe. "I would use it about 2-3 times a day."In June, Roe says she was using Lyft to travel from her father's home to her mother's, a 32-minute ride on the Interstate 5 that would forever change her life.RELATED: San Diego women reported in Uber, Lyft sex assault cases"He just asked me inappropriate questions," Roe said, referring to her driver. "He was commenting about inappropriate behaviors that he likes to do."Roe said the driver then told her to sit in the front passenger's seat, and out of fear she complied."The man.. he started touching me.. he groped my vagina, he groped my inner thighs, my thighs, my hamstrings," Roe said. She said the assault lasted between 15 and 20 minutes."I was kind of in a state of shock," Roe said. But Roe and her attorney, Mike Bomberger, say Lyft has been unresponsive."One of the things we don't know is what happened to the driver," Bomberger said.Roe and Bomberger allege that Lyft is not doing enough to keep passengers safe."Lyft fails to cooperate with police when there's an assault. Kimberly Wright, co-director of the animal education center, said the alien's voice is a combination of their bat-eared fox, Acacia, and one of their kinkajous, Kima, as well as sounds from an adult and infant."They came out and he took a lot of noise from several of our animals," Wright said. "We tried about every weird sound that we had ... SAN DIEGO (CNS) - While the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend people stay at home this holiday season to avoid spreading COVID-19, officials at San Diego International Airport released some tips for those who are traveling as this traditional major travel weekend begins.According to the airport guidance, all travelers should practice preventative health measures such as washing hands often, avoiding touching eyes, nose, and mouth, social distancing at least 6 feet from others, covering coughs and sneezes, and monitoring daily health by conducting a temperature check prior to arriving at the airport. The California Department of Public Health requires all individuals to wear a face covering while on airport property. Face coverings are available at airport information desks, concessionaires, and vending machines located in the terminals.Travelers should have a clear understanding of state, local, and territorial governments travel restrictions for wherever they are headed, including testing requirements, stay-at-home orders and quarantine requirements.Airlines have implemented COVID-19 health and safety measures for check in, boarding, and while on the plane. Passengers should understand the expectations of the specific airline they are using prior to arriving at the airport.Transportation Security Administration security checkpoints are open and all passengers are required to go through screening. The San Diego Airport Authority encourages travelers to leave ample time, preferably two hours, to get through security and to their gate.Rental Car Center buses require social distancing and therefore are running at reduced capacity. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A former Camp Pendleton Marine was sentenced Monday to more than 17 years in prison for owning and distributing child pornography.William Walsh IV, 55, was arrested in May 2017. Escondido Police officers searched his home and seized hundreds of files Walsh had downloaded through peer-to-peer file sharing software.A jury found Walsh guilty of all charges. U.S. District Judge Anthony J. Battaglia said Walsh’s conduct was “on the extreme end of the cases I have seen.”“Today a man who committed terrible crimes against children was sentenced to many years in prison,” said U.S. Attorney Adam Braverman. “These horrible experiences will echo in the hearts and minds of young victims for a lifetime, and I am deeply distressed and deeply committed to pursuing cases that will protect our vulnerable youth from people like Walsh.”“Today’s sentence confirms that this predator can no longer victimize innocent children because he is off the streets and he is offline,” said FBI Special Agent in Charge John Brown. “This investigation showcases the success of collaborative federal and local investigations working toward a common goal.”Walsh will serve his sentence in federal prison. 1208

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Two San Diego-area pet stores were cited over the weekend for selling puppies in defiance of a prior cease-and-desist order, an animal welfare agency announced Monday.Broadway Puppies in Escondido and Pups & Pets in Santee received citations from the San Diego Humane Society's Humane Law Enforcement department on Saturday, three days after being ordered to suspend all sales of pets until they could prove the animals were obtained from a legitimate source, SDHS officials reported.Approved suppliers include a public animal control agency or shelter, a facility run by a society for the prevention of cruelty to animals, a humane society shelter, or a rescue group that is in a cooperative agreement with at least one private or public shelter.Broadway Puppies was cited on four counts of allegedly violating California's ban on retail sales of dogs, cats and rabbits, and Pups & Pets got citations for two instances of the same offense, according to the Humane Society. 1007
