Mosinee (Wisc.) High School teen Jayson Goetz was the talk of his high school's prom after he showed up in green and gold Green Bay Packers suit covered with Packers logos and topped off with bright yellow pants and a Packers bow tie. Goetz, a Mosinee High School junior, said he and his friends didn't want to put on the typical, stuffy black tuxedo and blend into the background of prom. And he was glad he made the decision.“It was one of the greatest nights of my life,” Jayson told the Wausau Daily Herald. “I wish I could relive it a hundred times.”Goetz and his mom assembled the ensemble on Amazon.com and said the prom attire is a tribute to his late grandfathers—Mike Goetz and Phil Riedel, both of Mosinee—who died in 2017. “I wish they both would have seen (the suit),” Jayson told the Wausau Daily Herald. “I think they both would have laughed. They would have loved it.”Goetz's mom was skeptical about the outfit at first, but once she heard the reason he wanted to wear it, she happily approved. “I had no idea what he was doing when he first told me about it,” she told the Wausau Daily Herald. “I probably tried to talk him out of it at first. Nearly 1.5 million Ford Focus vehicles in North America are being recalled because of a fuel system problem.The engines can stall without warning, the recall says. Cars included in the recall are 2012 to 2018 model years with 2-liter four-cylinder engines.The recall states a canister purge valve can malfunction. More companies are trying four-day work weeks.Some are doing it to avoid laying people off during the pandemic. Others say it creates a better work-life-balance with employees at home.Elephant Ventures is a software company that started testing employees working four 10-hour days. It's a move to help employee morale and parents dealing with childcare and remote learning.“I think you still have the age-old conversation of if it's 40 hours compressed into four days, you still have how much productivity are you actually getting in a 10-hour workday,” said Barb Holland, an Human Resources Knowledge Advisor with SHRM.Productivity has gone up in other countries, like at Microsoft in Japan, when they tried a four-day work-week last year.Zip Recruiter has seen an increase in job postings that mention four-day work weeks this year.“If you're not wanting to lose your good workers or you're wanting to make sure they're not looking elsewhere for those places that are hiring, you have to be thinking about, ‘how do I retain my good staff,’” said Holland. “I don't want to lose them and flexibility I think is going to be a key piece of retaining staff in the future.”That HR expert says flexibility could be key to attracting new workers in the future.Elephant Ventures plans to test its new work week this month. More than 1,000 aftershocks of magnitude 1.5 or greater have shaken Alaska since Friday's big quake knocked out power, ripped open roads and splintered buildings in Anchorage, US Geological Survey geophysicist Randy Baldwin said Sunday.The majority were of a magnitude of 2.5 or weaker, meaning they weren't likely felt. But more than 350 of the aftershocks were higher than 2.5, according to USGS data.Still, local officials said life was returning to normal after Friday's magnitude 7 earthquake, even as 4 to 8 inches of snow was expected Sunday."This is the second-largest earthquake we've had since 1964, which was a very significant earthquake," Anchorage Mayor Ethan Berkowitz told reporters Saturday, referring to the 9.2 quake that was the most powerful recorded in US history. "In terms of a disaster, I think it says more about who we are than what we suffered," Berkowitz said. "I would characterize this as a demonstration that Anchorage is prepared for these kind of emergencies." 1002

MILWAUKEE — What was supposed to be a girls trip to Atlanta with a Milwaukee mother and her five daughters turned into a nightmare for the Wenszell family. A man they never met was in the station as they waited for a train to arrive. “This man, agitated, talking to himself mumbling and next thing we know, ran over and pushed my wife she ended up falling onto the track,” said Jerry Wenszell, the husband and father of the family. After Susan Wenszell was pushed her daughter jumped onto the tracks and covered her mother with her body. But that left Katie Wenszell to take the brunt of the train. “Katie jumped down, tried to move Sue off the tracks and just got her in between the tracks and the train literally went over both of the top of them,” Jerry said. The train missed Susan. Katie was hit and dragged. She lost part of her foot, her shoulder was shattered, she punctured a lung and broke most of the bones in her face. “Most said had Katie not jumped down, Sue would have come home in a box,” Jerry said. The man who pushed Susan is now facing charges. But Jerry isn’t angry and relies on his faith. “No, actually I'm not. I actually prayed for the guy,” he said. Katie is now in critical condition after the incident in Atlanta over the weekend. She faces a long road to recovery, including the potential for more surgeries. Jerry says he’s had to stay in Milwaukee to take care of the family’s young children. The family has set up a GoFundMe page to help raise money for Katie's medical expenses.  1595
