The country's first Costco store is so popular that it had to shut down early on its first day because of too many shoppers.The retailer opened its first physical outlet in Shanghai on Tuesday morning, and it quickly got too crowded to stay open."The store has been clogged up with crowds," Costco said in a text message alert to its members in China. "To provide you with better shopping experience, Costco will suspend business in the afternoon. Please don't come."Police were deployed to restore order and manage traffic jams around the store, with law enforcement urging people to remain calm."For your safety, we hope citizens who want to go to Costco can maintain a rational attitude about consumption and avoid going out during rush hours. Floering decided to pay a visit to student Kaitlyn Watson who was working at a drive thru restaurant in Traverse City, Michigan.  A San Diego student's death initially prompted the construction of the bridge that collapsed Thursday at Florida International University.Alexis Dale, an 18-year-old FIU freshman from San Diego, died in August 2017 when she was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Southwest 8th Street and 109th Avenue near the school, according to the Miami Herald.Dale had just started studying information technology in June, the Herald reported.The bridge that collapsed Thursday was being built at the intersection where Dale died as a way for people to cross the busy street safely.At least nine people were trapped and at least six people died due to the bridge collapse in Miami."I am heartbroken at the news of the collapse of the pedestrian bridge on 8th Street and the resulting devastation. (CNN) — California high school and middle school students will have some lifesaving information at their fingertips as they go back to school this year.A law that went into effect in July requires schools to print the number for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline on student ID cards for seventh- through 12th-graders in public, private and charter schools.That number is 1-800-273-TALK (8255).The law also says that student IDs may have information on the Crisis Text Line — which can be reached by texting HOME to 741741 — as well as local suicide prevention resources."I think any opportunity for somebody to have a number to be able to call out to, reach out to and be available, I think it's fantastic," Ray Morgan told CNN affiliate KGO. His daughter is a freshman at a San Francisco Bay Area high school.The move comes as suicide rates continue to rise in the United States.The suicide rate in 2017 was 33% higher than it was in 1999, according to annual research published in June by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Center for Health Statistics.A study published in the medical journal JAMA found a significant increase in the suicide rates among 15- to 24-year-olds between 2000 and 2017.Dave Muth, who advocated for the law, told CNN affiliate KESQ that he hopes it encourages people to talk openly about suicide and mental health. His daughter Madeline died by suicide in 2015."This is a way of remembering her, honoring her and helping to break down the stigma and change policy so that other families don't have to experience what we did," Muth said last year when then-Gov.
