SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — An unfounded "security threat" prompted Naval Base San Diego to initiate a lockdown Thursday afternoon, authorities said.The lockdown went into effect just before 11:30 a.m. over a reported "security threat," according to a Naval Base San Diego public information officer. According to San Diego Harbor Police, the threat was unfounded.Base officials lifted the lockdown and resumed normal operations just before 12 p.m., but didn't comment on the lockdown. 484

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Across the county, doorbell camera video has caught 'grinches' behaving badly."Upsetting and makes me feel violated," said Catherine Butler, who lives on Palm Avenue in La Mesa.When Butler woke up Wednesday morning, she came upon a mess outside her home. A wreath hanging on the side of her home was on the ground. A lighted garland was cut and left in her yard. It's not right and it's very grinchy," said Butler.Surveillance video reveals the culprit: a man walking barefoot on her patio railing, yanking down her lights. "I put up things because it's fun to be in the season. To have something negative happen, it just feels really personal," said Butler. Butler is hardly the only one feeling that way. There have been a plethora of videos posted this week of package thieves throughout the county, likely targeting Christmas presents. In Chula Vista, a video posted on the Neighbors App by Ring shows a man wrangling a large holiday wreath off a front door. In the post, the homeowner says the wreath had been put up for the last 15 years.In another post from Spring Valley, a person seen walking away from a home and into a waiting car took a Mickey Mouse projector light. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A San Diego woman is searching for the hero who saved her from drowning after a cliff dive at Sunset Cliffs.“I think the ocean really taught me a lesson that day. It really did,” Justice Arreguin said.It happened a week ago Sunday.Arreguin was with some friends when she jumped off the cliff into the water. The first jump was fine, she said. But when she jumped the second time, it almost killed her.The big waves pulled her under and tossed her around. She couldn't breathe.“Then this guy he just popped out of nowhere and he was like 'you have to stay calm. Try to stay calm,'" Arreguin said. "And so I did and after a while, he jumped in the water when it was safe."The man pulled justice out. Developers say in an effort to be transparent they are holding a community meeting on Wednesday.Two developers experienced in affordable housing are leading the project. They call the 50-unit proposal “Permanent Supporting Housing” meaning services will be available on-site.If the complex houses the chronically homeless, neighbors worry about tenants with substance abuse disorders or serious mental illness.The community meeting will take place Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the SDG&E Energy Innovation Center on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard. 653
