The statue stood 14-feet tall and weighed approximately 300 pounds. Gallant says she didn’t notice it was gone until days later, so she checked her surveillance tapes. “We believe they came in over the course of a couple of days. They had to remove some very large rebar wire that was in it that’s right here. So we had four of these that were in it to secure it to the ground,” Gallant said. Alek Minassian, the man accused of plowing into pedestrians with a van in Toronto on Monday, posted a cryptic message to Facebook minutes before setting off in his rented vehicle, Sgt. Graham Gibson, a homicide detective with the Toronto police, said Tuesday.CNN law enforcement analyst Josh Campbell said earlier that investigators told him they believe a post on Minassian's Facebook page refers to the man who killed six and injured 14 in a drive-by shooting and vehicle ramming attack near the University of California Santa Barbara campus in 2014. Elliot Rodger later died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.Minassian, was charged Tuesday with 10 counts of first-degree murder in a Toronto court.The 25-year-old is also charged with 13 counts of attempted murder.Minassian, who was wearing a white jumpsuit with his hands cuffed behind him, appeared attentive during the brief hearing. But then he noticed four to five victims on the ground as he drove a few meters further.DeMatos said he stopped to help another victim, who was already being aided by someone."I went over to try to perform CPR on him. ... A wooden sculpture of First Lady Melania Trump in her Slovenian hometown was burned by vandals on the Fourth of July, CNN and Reuters report.Brad Downey, the American, Berlin-based artist that commissioned the sculpture, said he received a call from officials in Sevnica, Slovenia, on July 5, who informed him that the statue had been badly burned the night before.Downey said he immediately had the statue removed and filed a police report.
