An irate homeowner in Louisiana who armed himself with a handgun and chased down a group of teenagers after they rolled his house is behind bars for aggravated assault.The armed confrontation came in response to what Mandeville Police Chief Gerald Sticker said was the group of teens “yearly ritual of ‘rolling or toilet papering’ of homes of fellow students” in the early morning hours of October 27.Craig Scott apparently didn’t think it was funny.Scott armed himself with a semiautomatic handgun and chased down the group of teens, according to Sticker.After he caught up to the group in another section of the neighborhood, Scott pulled his vehicle across the road to block their exit, got out, and confronted the teens with his handgun.Scott was arrested on November 2 and charged with aggravated assault with a firearm and obstruction of a roadway.“Though he had ample opportunity, Mr. Scott never once called 911 or requested police assistance,” Sticker said. “The end clearly did not justify the means this situation.”The teens still may face charges, since “rolling” a house is technically considered criminal mischief, according to Sticker. 1163

As a planned peace summit between the United States and North Korea appears to be in peril, a department of the Trump administration reportedly issued a collectable coin commemorating the  yet-to-happen meeting.According to the New York Times, the coins were commissioned by the White House Communications — a subset of the Department of Defense that handles military communications for the White House. The coin depicts silhouettes of President Trump and North Korea's Kim Jong Un.The White House denied having any input into the design or manufacture of the coin on Monday, adding that the coins are only ordered "after a trip has been publicly announced."Critics called the release of the coins "gross," others added that referring to Kim Jong Un as North Korea's "Supreme Leader" felt inappropriate given the country's human rights abuses.   888

As Christmas approaches, Target is extending its store hours for holiday shoppers.On its website in its FAQ section, Target said most of its stores would open at 7 a.m. and close at 11 p.m. leading up to the holiday.But on Christmas Eve, stores will close at 8 p.m. Target is closed on Christmas Day.The retail store says hours can vary, so check the store locator before you head out.The company also announced that special hours for seniors and at-risk shoppers have also changed.According to Target, stores will open an hour early, but only on Tuesdays. Andrew Drechsel, who was crowned champion of "American Ninja Warrior" last year, was arrested and federally charged "with seeking sex with a minor and inducing her to send him sexual explicit images," U.S. Attorney for New Jersey Craig Carpenito said in a statement."Drechsel, 31, of Saint Cloud, Florida, was charged with the manufacture of child pornography, enticement of a minor to travel for illicit sexual conduct, traveling with the intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor, and use of interstate commerce to entice a minor," Carpenito said in the news release. "He (Drechsel) made his initial appearance today (Wednesday) in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, prior to his transfer to the District of New Jersey."According to the court documents, Drechsel, and the alleged victim first met in 2014 at an event attended by numerous "American Ninja Warriors" contestants.In 2015, Drechsel and the alleged victim, then 15, first had sex at his Hamden, Connecticut gym, the court affidavit stated.The affidavit says the teen told her mother, who then confronted Drechsel. The mother said when told Drechsel that the alleged victim had just turned 15, he didn't deny having sex but stated he did not know her daughter's age, the affidavit said.In June 2019, the alleged victim, who was 19, made a complaint to the Cherry Hill Police Department in New Jersey, stating that she and Drechsel had sexual encounters multiple times when she was 15 to 17 years old, court records said.Drechsel's lawyer, Frank Riccio, said in a Tweet on Tuesday that his client plans on pleading not guilty. 1634
