DAWSONVILLE, Ga. — A quiet neighborhood in Dawsonville, Georgia is in shock after a Tampa man traveled there and allegedly killed his ex-wife and her sister on Thursday.Lumpkin County Sheriff Stacy Jarrard said Kelley McDonald Jr., 39, shot four people in the home before turning the gun on himself.  McDonald's ex-wife and her sister were both killed. McDonald shot and wounded a 16-year-old in the home and his 2-year-old daughter. Both were rushed to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston, according to Jarrard.The sheriff said the victim was hiding from her ex-husband but he tracked her down to the community about an hour north of Atlanta. Around 8:30 a.m., deputies responded to a call of shots fired. A 13-year-old inside the home during the shooting was able to escape and call 911.Court documents show McDonald and his ex-wife divorced in October 2017. According to an active arrest warrant out of Hillsborough County, Florida, McDonald was wanted for attacking his ex-wife on December 30 inside her Tampa condo. The warrant was for domestic violence with strangulation and burglary with assault.  Tampa neighbors said they were friendly with the victim but noticed a lot of police going in and out of the home. They said she recently moved out. They were shocked and saddened to learn she was murdered.McDonald’s mother spoke to Scripps station WFTS in Tampa outside her Tampa home. She said the family was “shocked and just learning of the news.”  Court documents show an emergency motion was filed on February 26 by the victim asking domestic violence injunction petition.  Lumpkin County Sheriff 's Office posted on Facebook that anyone seeking refuge for domestic violence in a community should always reach out to any local domestic violence organization they can contact.The sheriff writing on Facebook, “If you have taken refuge in a community, I encourage you to reach out to the local law enforcement of that area so that they may be aware of any situations that might arise in order to keep you and your family safe.”The names of the victims have not been released. 2156

(KGTV) — Life at the Del Mar Fairgrounds could look much different in the future, finding uses for more than horse racing and the county fair.Tuesday night will be the second of three community meetings, in which the fairgrounds will ask the community for input on what the future of the venue should look like.Del Mar Deputy Mayor Terry Gaasterland said the uses can fulfill several regional desires."We also have a responsibility for working with Solana Beach and San Diego and the entire region," Gaasterland said. "How does this fairgrounds meet not just the needs, but the wishes and the wants and the dreams of the San Diego region?"And things are already changing. The Surf Side Race Place is being transformed into an entertainment venue. KAABOO left Del Mar for downtown last year. This year, will be mark the end of fairgrounds gun show. And racing has seen a decline in revenue and attendance."Can the fairgrounds be a leader in doing the racing? DEL MAR, Calif. (KGTV) — Deputies are searching for a driver who recently hit a 39-year-old man in a Del Mar alley and sped off. The victim was walking southbound in an alley between 10th and 11th Streets at about 2 a.m. on Nov. 9, according to the San Diego Sheriff's Department. An unknown vehicle driving northbound in the alley struck the victim without stopping to check on him, and left the scene.RELATED: Man left for dead in Del Mar alley after hit-and-runThe victim suffered several injuries, including a broken pelvis, tibia, fibula, and femur, and several cuts to his body and head. The man is expected to survive his injuries, but is still hospitalized.Investigators believe the vehicle involved was a light-colored, compact SUV. DENVER, Colo. - Air traffic in and out of Denver International Airport was impacted Tuesday afternoon following COVID-19-related cleaning procedures at an FAA facility on airport grounds, a DIA spokesperson confirmed to Denver7.DIA said they were in a ground stop for only a few minutes around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. The airport was on a ground delay or traffic management up until 6 p.m., delaying inbound traffic.The stop happened due to COVID-19-related cleaning in an FAA facility on airport property after an FAA employee tested positive for the virus. Air controllers were moved into a backup room to clean the main room. Officials said the cleaning did not happen at the airport terminals or at the control tower.A DIA spokesperson estimated that nearly 200 planes were delayed and 45 were canceled during the transition.Denver7 spoke with a mother who says her son was pulled off his plane and told there would be a delay due to weather.“We all understand what happens with COVID and the shutdowns and everything, but it’s less scary knowing that’s what it was as opposed to trying to figure out, well why is the shutting down the airport and not telling us why?" said Kelly Suchey.She says DIA AND the FAA should have been more transparent about what was going on.So Far, four FAA employees have tested positive for COVID-19.This story was first reported by Robert Garrison KMGH in Denver, Colorado. 1412

DEHESA, Calif. (CNS) - An 80-year-old motorist was found dead today inside her crashed car at the bottom of an embankment alongside a dirt road near the Sycuan Casino.A hiker came upon the crumpled gold Lexus ES300 roughly a half-mile from the southern terminus of Sycuan Road in the rural Dehesa area about 8 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.The driver's name was withheld pending family notification. Her car apparently veered off an unpaved rural byway on the grounds of Sycuan Indian Reservation, careened down the adjacent hillside and struck a large oak tree."The Lexus was equipped with a lap- and shoulder-belt restraint system along with an airbag system," CHP public-affairs Officer Travis Garrow said this afternoon. "At this time, it does not appear the (motorist) was wearing her seat belt at the time of the (accident)."When the crash occurred was unclear, though a camera at a nearby guard shack captured images of the Lexus passing through the area about 2:30 p.m.Tuesday, according to Garrow.
