CORONADO, Calif. (KGTV) -- The Hotel del Coronado is suspending hotel operations amid the coronavirus outbreak, the Coronado Times reports. According to the times, the temporary suspension will go into effect Thursday, March 26. The hotel told the Times that security will be on-site around the clock to ensure the protection of the historic site. Guests with reservations were asked to contact Hilton Reservations and Customer Care, Rapoza said.Construction projects at the hotel would continue "to the extent permitted" by Gov. Gavin Newsom's statewide stay-at-home order along with thehealth and safety policies of the hotel's general contractor, Rapoza said.The announcement comes as 277 San Diego County residents tested positive for COVID-19 as of Wednesday afternoon. CORONADO, Calif. (KGTV) -- A Coronado bookstore that’s been a fixture of the landscape for nearly three decades will be able to move a few doors down thanks to a decision by the City Council. In 2018, a developer bought up nearly a whole block of Orange Avenue and Bay Books was only paying a fraction of market rent. Owner Angelica Muller told 10News in February that the store was considering a move down the block, but would have to sell coffee and pastries to stay in business. CLEVELAND — A Cleveland website is facing backlash after attempting to be humorous about the foreclosure crisis and sex trafficking. Coolcleveland.com wrote an article about an upcoming gingerbread house making event at restaurant TownHall. In the now deleted post, the site said "the foreclosure crisis left a lot of empty gingerbread houses around Cleveland. Many end up becoming dens for cracker addicts." It also mentioned "gingerbread sex slaves."A spokesperson for TownHall said they were upset by the post. "We are appalled by the article written by Cool Cleveland.
