BEIJING, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Thursday held a telephone conversation with his French counterpart Jean-Marc Ayrault on bilateral ties and the one-China principle.

In his remarks, Goodall Gondwe hailed the Chinese government for the concessional loan saying the national fiber backbone would help improve connectivity for government systems.

At the invitation of Ecuadoran President Rafael Correa, Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski and Chilean President Michelle Bachelet, Xi will pay state visits to the three countries from Nov. 17 to 23, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lu Kang said in a statement.

Despite sluggish global economic recovery and deep adjustment, China-EU economic and trade relations have deepened through concerted efforts by both sides, said Li Yizhong, chairman of China Federation of Industrial Economics in his opening speech.

The loan will be concessional at 2 percent interest rate with 5 years grace period and a repayment period of up to 15 years, according to the minister.
