The home on Seymour Avenue has been torn down and a garden now sits in its place. Neighbors said tourists stop by the street from time to time. They also said they are ready to move on and don't want the area to be a spectacle anymore. 250

the incident was an "irresponsible act.""This video is a concern and similar to past viral videos that encourage unsafe behavior," Ostroskey wrote in the advisory. "You might reach out to local news outlets, school officials, and parent organizations. Alert them to this challenge, advise them to not only look for signs of fire play like scorched outlets, but to have conversations about fire and electrical safety with tweens and teenagers." 443

The officials also said there needs to be some kind of larger response concerning this level of violence, but there was some disagreement on what should be done.Brown said weapons like the one used Sunday morning are not meant for hunting, and we should ask, "Why do we put our police in that situation?" He also called those weapons "weapons of war."However, Portman said this was not about weapons but about culture, citing mental health issues and the opioid crisis."There's something deeper going on here," Portman said. "No law can correct some of the more fundamental, cultural problems, we face today as a country."There was a call for bipartisanship in response to the shooting though.Plumber made a point to say he and his colleagues don't work for "special interest groups" but for the people. He then reiterated the strength of the community this past year."Stay strong Dayton," Plumber said. "We're in the game."This story was originally published on 963

The Polk County Sheriff's Office said the teenager made the violent and disturbing threats on the Discord text-chat app used by gamers.Detectives immediately began an investigation after the sheriff's office received multiple tips about the threats from other Discord users.Authorities said multiple online companies aided in the investigation, helping them identify the teenager who was staying with a friend at a home in Winter Haven, Florida.According to the arrest report, the 17-year-old admitted to making the threatening posts after getting jealous of other gamers. The sheriff's office released a list of the threats the teen allegedly made:“I’M GOING TO KILL SO MANY PEOPLE!!!!“SO MAY [MANY] BAD GUYS WILL DIE!!”“I’M GOING TO ATAB [STAB] SO MAY [MANY] PEOPLE AND MAKE THEM HURT!!”“I get pretty happy when I imagine myself being a villain going on a mass murdering spree like in a movie as f****d up as it sounds….”“HAHAHAHAHAHA I WANT SO MANY PEOPLE TO DIE BY HAND AND THEN PLAY WITH THEIR GUTS WHILE THAY [THEY] ARE STILL ALIVE!!!”“NOBODY UNDERSTANDS ME!!! BUT THEY WILL UNDERSTAND HOW DEAD THEY WILL BE IN A MINUTE!!”Detectives arrested the teen October 23, charging him with written threat to kill or injure. WFTS is not naming him due to his age.“We sincerely appreciate those who brought these disturbing threats to our attention. People saw or heard something, and they said something," Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said. "We have learned from studying active shooters that in many cases there were indicators, clues and threats that were ignored prior to their evil actions. We can’t ignore these kinds of threats anymore. We must take those who make threats at their word.“During the course of their investigation, detectives determined the 17-year-old previously made threats of school shootings in Illinois. The teenager is not currently enrolled in any school. This story was originally published by Sean O'Reilly on 1937

The IARC has vigorously defended its finding, but a separate WHO panel assessing pesticide residues determined in 2016 that "glyphosate is unlikely to pose a carcinogenic risk to humans from exposure through the diet," adding to a dizzying array of contradictory findings.Puzzling conclusions like those are not uncommon in cancer research, according to Dr. Otis W. Brawley, the American Cancer Society's chief medical and scientific officer."IARC, I think, is very, very reasonable in their assessments," he said, "but IARC will sometimes make an assessment that is not satisfying to many of us."Brawley noted that the other commonly-consumed substances are also classified as potentially carcinogenic by the IARC. Based on limited evidence, for example, the IARC says that "drinking very hot beverages probably causes cancer of the esophagus in humans," yet hundreds of millions of people drink coffee every day."There are some groups that really want to alarm people and advocate for what's called the precautionary principle," Brawley said. "The precautionary principle, taken to its extreme, means you literally wouldn't get up in the morning."Brawley said that parents should instead make sure their kids are eating fruits, vegetables, and getting the nutrition they need. More children "are definitely going to be harmed by inappropriate diets," he said, "than by a small amount of glyphosate in their oatmeal." 1418
