View this post on Instagram I would like to apologize to my friends, teammates, the City of New Orleans, the black community, NFL community and anyone I hurt with my comments yesterday. In speaking with some of you, it breaks my heart to know the pain I have caused. In an attempt to talk about respect, unity, and solidarity centered around the American flag and the national anthem, I made comments that were insensitive and completely missed the mark on the issues we are facing right now as a country. They lacked awareness and any type of compassion or empathy. Instead, those words have become divisive and hurtful and have misled people into believing that somehow I am an enemy. This could not be further from the truth, and is not an accurate reflection of my heart or my character. This is where I stand: I stand with the black community in the fight against systemic racial injustice and police brutality and support the creation of real policy change that will make a difference. I condemn the years of oppression that have taken place throughout our black communities and still exists today. I acknowledge that we as Americans, including myself, have not done enough to fight for that equality or to truly understand the struggles and plight of the black community. I recognize that I am part of the solution and can be a leader for the black community in this movement. I will never know what it’s like to be a black man or raise black children in America but I will work every day to put myself in those shoes and fight for what is right. I have ALWAYS been an ally, never an enemy. I am sick about the way my comments were perceived yesterday, but I take full responsibility and accountability. I recognize that I should do less talking and more listening...and when the black community is talking about their pain, we all need to listen. For that, I am very sorry and I ask your forgiveness. TAMPA, Fla. — Attention Chick-fil-A fans! The fast-food chain is adding three new sweet treats to their menu starting September 14. A new chocolate fudge brownie and specialty-grade coffee will join the menu all year, while a seasonal cold brew will only be available for a limited time. The national chain says the brownie features a "rich semi-sweet chocolate melted into the batter along with tasty, fudgy chunks" and is sold individually wrapped. The treat can be purchased separately or by the tray. While the seasonal Mocha Cream Cold Brew gives you a boost and satisfies your sweet tooth. “We are always looking to add fun and flavorful offerings to our menu, and these new dessert and snack options make perfect additions as we enter the fall season,” said Leslie Neslage, director of menu and packaging at Chick-fil-A. “We received positive responses when we tested the Chocolate Fudge Brownie and Mocha Cream Cold Brew in select markets last year, and we hope our customers will be as excited as we are to have these sweet treats join our menu nationwide.”The new THRIVE Farmers coffee joining the menu features a blend of beans grown in Central and South America. Having easy access to Mario’s first three 2D adventures provides an easy way to experience the evolution and improvements made with each entry. Most importantly, all three of those games still hold up in 2020. When it comes to Super Mario 3D All-Stars, a package that includes Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy, this is not the case, but that doesn’t mean Nintendo’s new collection on the Switch is one to overlook. Mario’s first 3D adventure is arguably one of the most important video games of all time, but mamma-mia, has this game aged poorly. As soon as I jumped into the Bob-omb Battlefield course at the start, my gaming brain was startled by the game’s awful camera system, which makes completing an objective far more frustrating than I remember in 1996. Obtaining stars on each course is still exhilarating, but the excitement stemmed from the relief of conquering the awkward jumping angles, rather than accomplishing the task at hand. When it comes to visuals, the game looks exactly how you remember, albeit a bit smoother in some textures. It even retains the 4:3 aspect ratio. If you’re looking to experience the origins of 3D Mario titles, give this a look, if just for a nostalgia fill and move on. Originally on the only console to ever feature a handle, the Nintendo Gamecube, this game is worth a second look. Sunshine’s verticality, combined with its open-world structure, feels surprisingly modern and its difficulty remains among the highest in the Mario series, even if it’s sometimes unintentional due to the game’s bugginess. Controlling Mario with his water-filled jet pack still feels unlike anything else in the series, making for some literal refreshing mechanics that I enjoyed during my playthrough. From an art standpoint, I absolutely adore the colorful, tropical look of Isle Delfino and the characters that populate it. If you told me this game came out this generation, you could easily fool me. Super Mario Galaxy hasn’t aged a day since its release in 2007. Its space-aesthetic rivals the art direction of any Nintendo Switch game to date, and its tight controls feel fantastic. Running around bite-sized planets, playing with gravity, and that launching into the next world animation makes me want to stop writing this review and go play it right now. I am cherishing the number of stars I have left to collect. It’s a real shame that Super Mario Galaxy 2 was left off of this collection. Perhaps it’s time to go dig out my Wii to experience the sequel. Galaxy is reason enough to purchase this bundle, even at the slightly steep price point.The full packageSuper Mario 3D All-Stars is just the meat and potatoes without any added junk food to consume. Aside from a playlist of 175 iconic Mario jams to listen to separately, this collection has zero special features. I would have loved to see a documentary about the making of these games, or even some never-before-seen sketches when the game was in its early stages. Instead, we’re simply left with the bare minimum of the three original games with some slightly improved visuals. Still, though, this is the easiest way to play these titles in 2020. If you’re on the fence about purchasing, this game is only available until March 31, 2021, according to Nintendo. Doctors are seeing more children with an illness that can look a lot like the flu or cold. It's known as RSV. It stands for respiratory syncytial virus. It comes with the typical runny nose, cough and congestion we see in the wintertime. Adults can usually get over RSV without a problem. But it can be a lot more severe for young children.“From a newborn to a 3- or 4-year-aged child, and they go to a daycare or they're exposed to other kids who have a runny nose, cough or congestion. These kids can fall sicker much more, and will have more respiratory distress and dehydration than kids who are older,” says Dr. Purva Grover with Cleveland Clinic. Respiratory distress and dehydration are what makes RSV different from the typical cold. Doctors say some of the signs include shortness of breath and difficulty breathing. Parents may be able to tell this is happening in a child if they're heavily breathing from both their nose and chest, as well as grunting noises. It's important that families see a doctor before this becomes respiratory failure. There isn't a vaccine specifically for RSV. But some doctors say they've been able to treat it with other vaccines. “There is a vaccine which is actually an antibody treatment that we give to the most vulnerable premature infants, those that are in their first year of life and were born very prematurely,” says Dr. James Gaensbauer, a pediatrics and infectious disease specialist at Denver Health. “But it's not an ideal thing, you have to give a shot every month for every five months that is typically the season.” Doctors can also do other things to treat the symptoms, like giving kids extra oxygen.RSV usually lasts about two weeks. 1707

In an instant, the windshield to Rob Weber's small airplane shattered while a thousand feet in the air. “I was pretty much on the edge of blacking out,” he describes. A camera in the cockpit captured it all. When you slow down the video, you can see a bird fly right through the windshield, forcing Weber to declare an emergency as he approached the airport in Fort Myers, Florida. “After I’d taken the hit to the head, I was really dazed,” Weber recalls. “I was having a hard time communicating with them, because I was knocked silly. I really couldn't focus on where I was or what was going on.” The latest data shows there are a record number of bird strikes involving planes, with more than 40 a day on average. A big reason for the spike: more flights and a jump in the bird population. “It's a classic probability situation. More planes and more large birds in the air at the same time,” explains Michael Begier with the National Bird Strike Committee. Begier works with the organization to track incidents and find ways to reduce them. Statistically speaking, the highest chances of being involved in bird strike are from July through October, during the day and while approaching the airport. The accident involving US Airways Flight 1549, known as the Miracle on the Hudson, is perhaps the most memorable and extreme example of how damaging bird strikes can be.
