That often-blurred line between the office and home is now a little clearer for one creative teacher.Move over Chip and Joanna Gaines.With advance notice he would not be returning to the classroom because of the coronavirus, Cory Streets got to work on a special summer project.Streets just completed an amazing transformation, turning a storage shed in his backyard into a space dedicated to scholastic achievement - like something straight out of an episode of 'Fixer Upper' on HGTV, on a much smaller budget.“Got a can of mis-tinted paint and a carpet remnant. I’m hoping it’ll be a fun way to break up some of the monotony," said Streets.With a young daughter and a second child arriving in October, Streets found himself with limited spots to set up shop inside his home.“It’ll give me a place to come and work quietly," said Streets.Instead of rakes and shovels, Streets filled the shed with all the tools he needs to help his students grow despite being miles apart.“I wanted to make this a more fun and enjoyable experience for myself, but also for the students," said Streets.The consistency of connecting in this newly-created classroom, which has been dubbed the "Mr. Streets Center for Remote Sheducation," is not only expected to help Streets stay focused; he says it will also do the same for his students.“It’ll feel more comforting, it’ll feel predictable, it’ll feel like a routine," said Streets.Streets said there's a lesson his students can learn from the new workspace and that is you have to make the best of a challenging moment.“We’re gonna have a good time, we’re gonna learn some stuff. TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — An upcoming rule change at the U.S. Department of Justice means federal inmate executions, which are currently carried out by lethal injection could happen by other means, such as a firing squad or electrocution.Currently, all federal executions are done via lethal injection unless a court specifically orders otherwise. The rule change gives the federal government greater flexibility to execute people by other means.The change states that federal executions are to be carried out by lethal injection “or by any other manner prescribed by the law of the State in which the sentence was imposed or which has been designated by a court.”According to the Death Penalty Information Center, all states that allow the death penalty authorize a lethal injection method. Nine states allow electrocution, seven allow lethal gas and three allow a firing squad. Most states that allow methods other than lethal injection do so only under the provision that the injection is found to be unconstitutional, unavailable or impractical.The DOJ rule change goes into effect on Dec. 24, before three more federal inmates are scheduled to be executed. Inmates are scheduled to be executed on Jan. 12, Jan. 14 and Jan. 15.If executions by other means will happen, it’s unlikely they will happen at the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Terre Haute, where federal executions typically take place. The DOJ notice states that the Terre Haute complex is equipped for carrying out executions only by lethal injection. Stormy Daniels released a composite sketch on Tuesday of the man she alleges threatened her in 2011 and is offering a 0,000 reward to anyone who can identify the perpetrator.The disclosure of the drawing and the announcement of the monetary reward on ABC's "The View" mark yet another theatrical twist in the dramatic public feud between the porn star and President Donald Trump. Daniels alleges that she had a sexual encounter with Trump in 2006 and that she signed a secret agreement just days before the 2016 election in exchange for the promise to stay quiet about the alleged affair. She is now suing Trump in the hopes of voiding that agreement.The development also comes at a grave moment for a key figure in the Daniels saga -- Trump's longtime personal lawyer, Michael Cohen. Cohen claims to have orchestrated the non-disclosure agreement with Daniels and says he used 0,000 of his own money to pay her off. Last week, the FBI raided Cohen's home, office and hotel room in New York City. TAMPA, Fla. - A "Back the Blue" mural was painted outside the Tampa Police Department headquarters over the weekend.On Saturday, about 40 people came together and painted the mural on East Madison Street in downtown Tampa. The mural was created to show support for law enforcement."When they walk into the police department or when they go to work or they're patrolling the streets, they see that mural and they know they have a community behind them," said Cassandra Kistler.Kelli Campbell and Cassandra Kistler are members of Back the Blue Florida. The ladies helped organize the project.People from Community Patriots of Tampa also helped paint the mural."We had people just walking by that were inspired to pick up a brush and a roller and start helping us," said Campbell.Some people on social media are criticizing the mural or showing their support."We've been criticized a lot like it's not the best, it's not this, it's not that. It's community and community did it and brought it together and made it happen," said Cassandra Kistler.A Change.org petition said, "This mural seems to mock the Black Lives Matter movement and is a huge slap in the face for all the protesting we have been doing all over this country.""Everybody's entitled to voice their opinions and voice what they want," said Kistler."This has nothing to do with race. This is not against anyone. It's not to counter anyone.
