Rapper T.I. was arrested early Wednesday in Henry County, Georgia, outside Atlanta, according to authorities. The musician, whose legal name is Clifford Harris Jr., was arrested outside the gated community where he resides. The Henry County Sheriff's Office said T.I. was cited on misdemeanor charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after an alleged incident about 4 a.m. in Stockbridge, south of Atlanta.According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, T.I. did not have his key and argued with a guard, who refused to let him in.He has since posted bond.In a statement provided to CNN, attorney Steve Sadow said T.I. was "wrongfully arrested early this morning when he attempted to gain entrance into his gated community -- where his wife 'Tiny' and his family reside.""The guard was sound asleep when Tip arrived at the guardhouse," Sadow said, using the rapper's nickname. "It took Tip some time to wake up the sleeping guard."Sadow said the rapper identified himself, was refused entry and then called his wife, singer Tameka "Tiny" Harris, who confirmed his identity."The guard continued to refuse entry without justification," the lawyer's statement said. "Words were exchanged and apparently the guard and/or a supervisor called the police. When the police arrived, they were not interested in hearing Tip's side of the story and wrongfully chose to end the situation by arresting Tip."It's not the first time T.I. has run afoul of authorities. In 2009, he was sentenced to one year and one day in prison and ordered to pay a 0,300 fine on weapons charges related to purchasing machine guns and silencers.The-CNN-Wire 1660

Retailers across the country have a new marketing theme this summer: Turn your backyard into a vacation haven. It seems most families agree as playground and trampoline retailers have been selling out of stock."It’s just been a huge surge in sales and for everything we sell. Almost like a frenzy, in a sense," says Pete DeLois. DeLois owns Recreations Outlet in Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio. He says their sales in April doubled their previous highest month."The most we’ve ever sold in any one month is little over 100. I mean, we sold 140 by the time we’d gotten through two weeks in April," DeLois said. Since Recreations Outlet pre-orders their equipment ahead of the spring and summer season, their inventory of playgrounds and trampolines quickly ran dry. DeLois put customers on a waiting list for up to 14 weeks."I also think some of the money they had maybe was allocated for vacations," says DeLois.Recreation Outlet shares space with a gymnastics facility which had to shut down during the COVID-19 pandemic. DeLois says many parents can spend upwards of 0 a month in gymnastics classes and are likely looking for a physical outlet for their kids."There isn’t anything in our product mix that they’re not looking for. We sell basketball goals, play sets, trampolines, they all are good solutions for getting the kids outside the house and away from inside the house. I’m sure parents are interested in kids getting fresh air but every one of them have been a mad dash," says DeLois.Pete is supposed to get another 40 trampolines in next week and says they'll be gone within two days. Even entry-level playgrounds are sold out. They usually aren't."I've been doing this for 30 years. With a seasonal business it’s always a challenge when you're in that season because you end up doing-- in this industry you do about 70% in a five to six month window but we‘re prepared for it because we’ve done it over and over again. But we weren’t prepared for this," says DeLois. Not prepared, but grateful that his business is doing well and helping families turn their backyards into a fun place to vacation at home this summer. 2141

President George W. Bush gave a tearful eulogy to his father, President George H.W. Bush, Wednesday at a state funeral for the 41st president of the United States. The younger Bush choked up as he quoted his father's inaugural address from 1989."In his inaugural address, the 41st President of the United States said this: 'We cannot hope to only leave our children a bigger car, a bigger bank account,'" Bush said. "'We must hope to give them a sense of what it means to be a loyal friend, a loving parent. A citizen who leaves who home, his neighborhood and his town a better place than when he found it. What do we want the men and women who work with us to say when we are no longer there? That we were more driven to succeed than anyone around us, or that we stopped to ask if a sick child had gotten better and stayed a moment there to trade a moment of friendship.'"Photos: State funeral for George H.W. Bush"Well, Dad, we're going to remember you for exactly that and much more," Bush continued. "And we're going to miss you. Your decency, sincerity and kind soul will stay with us forever. So through the tears, let us know the blessing of knowing and loving you, a great and noble man. The best father a son or daughter could have."At this point, Bush stuttered and took a moment to choke back tears."And in our grief, let us smile knowing that dad is hugging Robin and holding Mom's hand again."Robin was George H.W. Bush's second child and first daughter. She died of cancer in 1953 at the age of 3.Watch Bush's eulogy to his father in the player below.Alex Hider is a writer for the E.W. Scripps National Desk. President Donald Trump's niece offers a devastating portrayal of her uncle in a new book. Mary Trump writes that a “perfect storm of catastrophes” have exposed the president at his worst. Early copies of the book, “Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man," slated for publication next week, became available on Tuesday. She writes that the coronavirus pandemic, the possibility of an economic depression and deepening social divides have brought out the “worst effects" of Trump's "pathologies." Multiple media outlets, including CNN and the New York Times, are reporting on details from the book, including that Mary Trump alleges President Trump paid to have someone take the SAT for him. She says the combination of emergencies are problems that “no one is less equipped than my uncle to manage." Mary Trump is the daughter of Trump's eldest brother Fred Trump Jr., who died in 1981. Trump's other brother Robert, filed injunctions to stop the publication of the book. Robert Trump's lawyers argued Mary Trump had agreed not to publish such a book without permission from the family. Last week, a New York court ruled the book could be released. 1196
