The teeth Fitzgerald's team found didn't just belong to the Great Jagged Narrow-Toothed Shark. They also found teeth belonging to several different Sixgill sharks (Hexanchus), Museums Victoria said, a species that still roams Australia's coastal waters.Researchers believe those teeth were left behind as a result of getting lodged in the carcass of the Great Jagged Narrow-Toothed Shark as smaller sharks fed on it after the much larger animal died."The teeth of the sixgill shark work like a crosscut saw, and tore into the Carcharocles angustidens like loggers felling a tree. The stench of blood and decaying flesh would have drawn scavengers from far around," Museums Victoria palaeontologist Tim Ziegler said in a statement."Sixgill sharks still live off the Victorian coast today, where they live off the remains of whales and other animals. This find suggests they have performed that lifestyle here for tens of millions of years." 944

The San Francisco-based company is under deadline pressure to emerge from bankruptcy by June 2020 to participate in a state wildfire fund to help California's major utilities pay out future claims as climate change makes wildfires across the U.S. West more frequent and more destructive. The utility sought bankruptcy protection in January because it said it could not afford an estimated billion in potential damages from lawsuits stemming from recent wildfires. 466

The ruling noted that "Although California's guidelines place restrictions on places of worship, those restrictions appear consistent with the Free Exercise Clause of the First Amendment. Similar or more severe restrictions apply to comparable secular gatherings, including lectures, concerts, movie showings, spectator sports, and theatrical performances, where large groups of people gather in close proximity for extended periods of time. And the order exempts or treats more leniently only dissimilar activities, such as operating grocery stores, banks, and laundromats, in which people neither congregate in large groups nor remain in close proximity for extended periods." 678

The rally was intended to be the largest indoor gathering in the world during the outbreak that has killed more than 120,000 Americans. But in the hours before the event, crowds seemed significantly lighter than expected.Campaign officials scrapped plans for Trump to first address an overflow space before he spoke at the BOK Center. No reason was given for the cancellation of the outdoor rally outside the venue. Images posted on social media showed few people in the outdoor area.Thousands of Trump supporters and protesters gathered on the streets despite concerns about the coronavirus and fears that the politically charged environment could lead to violent conflicts. The rally, originally scheduled for Friday, was changed to observe Juneteenth. Still, many demonstrators appeared on behalf of the Black Lives Matter movement to protest the recent deaths of black men in police custody. The Tulsa event was the president’s re-election rally in more than 100 days. Others were called off due to the ongoing pandemic.Health experts worry the rally will become a new hotspot for coronavirus infections. Oklahoma is seeing a steady increase in its average of new confirmed cases per day and Tulsa County has the most confirmed cases in the state. The vast majority of those in attendance bucked the guidance of health care experts and did not wear a mask, following the lead of a president who has insisted on not wearing a mask in public. Trump applauded those in attendance as warriors.Trump suggested during the rally that he has told members of his administration to slow the rate of coronavirus testing in the U.S. Trump said the country has tested 25 million people, and far more than any other country. He also told the crowd that more testing leads to finding more cases of people who test positive.Trump said that “so I said to my people slow the testing down, please.”During his speech, Trump sought to tie the destruction of monuments and statues around the country to Democratic leaders, including his likely rival in the presidential election, Joe Biden.Trump said, “the choice in 2020 is very simple. Do you want to bow before the left-wing mob, or do you want to stand up tall and proud as Americans?”Statues have been destroyed in numerous cities amid continuing anti-racism demonstrations following the May 25 police killing in Minneapolis of George Floyd, the African American man who died in police custody.Trump said, “Biden remains silent in his basement in the face of this brutal assault on our nation and the values of our nation. Joe Biden has surrendered to his party and to the left-wing mob.” 2622

The Times reported they received the documents "through encrypted email by an unidentified party," and that they included "a selfie dated May 9, 2013, of the two lying in bed.""As part of the agreement, Mr. Bennett, who is now 22, gave the photograph and its copyright to Ms. Argento, now 42," the story said. "Three people familiar with the case said the documents were authentic."Bennett reportedly asked Argento for .5 million in damages, a month after she spoke out about Weinstein last October and that Argento later arranged to pay Bennett 0,000.The first installment was made in April 2018, the New York Times said. The publication said it had been attempting to reach Argento for comment since last Thursday with no success. It said a woman in the office of her lawyer, Carrie Goldberg, said the attorney would not be available for comment.Bennett would not agree to be interviewed by the New York Times. His attorney Gordon K. Sattro sent an email to the publication. "In the coming days," Sattro wrote, "Jimmy will continue doing what he has been doing over the past months and years, focusing on his music."CNN has also reached out to Goldberg and Sattro as well as other reps for Argento and Bennett for comment.Weinstein has pleaded not guilty to six felony sex crimes -- two counts of predatory sexual assault, two counts of rape, one first-degree criminal sex act charge and one criminal sex act.The charges stem from allegations from three women, according to court documents.Weinstein has denied all allegations of "nonconsensual sexual activity," and he's remained free after posting million bail in cash. The charges against Weinstein came nine months after The New Yorker and The New York Times published accounts from several women accusing him of various forms of sexual misconduct.Argento was one of the women whose story was shared in The New Yorker piece. None of the charges currently against Weinstein stem from Argento's accusations.Last October she confirmed her account to CNN and said of the many allegations against Weinstein "This is our truth."Argento gave a speech at the Cannes Film Festival in May during which she alleged she was raped by Weinstein in 1997 when she was 21."This festival was his hunting ground," Argento said in her speech.Argento was the girlfriend of Anthony Bourdain who took his own life in June at the age of 61.Bourdain and Argento met while in Rome filming an episode of his CNN show, "Parts Unknown," and he was one of her most ardent supporters after she went public with her allegations against Weinstein."I stand unhesitatingly and unwaveringly with the women," Bourdain wrote in December 2017. "Not out of virtue, or integrity, or high moral outrage -- as much as I'd like to say so -- but because late in life, I met one extraordinary woman with a particularly awful story to tell, who introduced me to other extraordinary women with equally awful stories."Actress Rose McGowan, who was closely aligned with Argento as a fellow Weinstein accuser, tweeted about the New York Times report Monday."I got to know Asia Argento ten months ago," McGowan tweeted. "Our commonality is the shared pain of being assaulted by Harvey Weinstein. My heart is broken. I will continue my work on behalf of victims everywhere." 3283
