(KGTV) -- A San Diego woman’s mother is missing following a solo trip to Zion National Park in Utah, according to CNN.Holly Courtier hasn’t been seen or heard from since October 6 when she embarked on the trip.Courtier was dropped off at the park by a private shuttle bus and scheduled to be picked up the same day, but never returned, KABC reports.Courtier’s daughter Kailey Chambers told the station her mother is an experienced hiker. (KGTV) — A woman was arrested Friday after police said she threw apparent blood onto the state Senate floor.According to California Highway Patrol, the woman threw a feminine hygiene product containing what appeared to be blood from the second floor public gallery.CHP did not say what the woman's motivation was, but referred to her as a "demonstrator," the Associated Press reported. The act happened as hundreds of protesters at the Capitol rallied against a recently passed law cracking down on fraudulent medical exemptions for vaccinations.The AP also reported the woman had yelled "that's for the dead babies" before throwing the red liquid. Several senators were reportedly hit. Senate President Pro Tempore Toni Atkins called the behavior "unacceptable."The state Senate relocated to a committee room to complete their session.The woman was charged with assault, vandalism, and disrupting the orderly conduct of official business at the state Capitol, according to CHP. 986

(KGTV) — Authorities have identified the South Bay woman killed in a multi-vehicle pileup on Interstate 5 in Irvine this week.Maria Osuna, 25, of National City, was killed in the collision involving at least nine vehicles at about 1:25 a.m. on I-5 near Irvine Spectrum Center.Osuna was the only person killed in the crash, according to California Highway Patrol.RELATED: Girl, 12, among victims in fiery wrong-way crash on Interstate 805 in University City areaA six-month-old boy, believed to be Osuna's son, also suffered "major to moderate injuries" in the crash. 10News learned that the boy was taken to Mission Viejo hospital.Two other children from different vehicles were also hospitalized with unknown injuries.A 22-year-old Nevada man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, according to ABC7 in Los Angeles. (KGTV) — At least 50,000 people were ordered to evacuate as multiple fires burned north of Los Angeles Thursday amid dangerously dry and windy conditions.The Tick Fire started about 2 p.m. in the Canyon Country area of Santa Clarita and spread east to Agua Dulce. Cal Fire reported about 8:30 p.m. the fire had spread to 3,950 acres. Several structures were lost. As of 6:20 p.m., firefighters had slowed the fire's progress.Mandatory Tick Fire evacuations are in effect for all residents north of 14 freeway, east of Whites/Plum Canyon, south of Vasquez Canyon, west of Agua Dolce.
