BEIJING, June 28 (Xinhua) -- China's top legislature on Friday held a joint inquiry into a report on the enforcement of the Law on Promotion of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs).

"We have very loyal people who have worked for us for a very long time," said Rick Muskat, president of Deer Stags, a U.S. shoe company. "Their jobs are at stake."
As of 5 p.m., no road accident with more than five deaths was reported, and major highways as well as main routes did not see any severe traffic jams, according to the Ministry of Public Security.
He also called for building efficient system and mechanism of management to mobilize forces and clarify responsibilities of different sides and help establish a rigorous system of national biosecurity.
