(KGTV) — Los Angeles police are searching for the person behind the fatal shooting of an off-duty officer early Saturday.An officer was flagged down just before 1 a.m. over reports of a shooting in the area of Avenue 26 at Humboldt St. in the Lincoln Heights area. The officer found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds, one of them identified as off-duty Los Angeles Police Department officer Juan José Diaz."It is with a heavy heart that we can confirm the off-duty LAPD Officer has passed away as a result of the shooting. (KGTV/AP) - California lawmakers are wrapping up their year with key decisions that came early Saturday morning.The most notable piece of legislation was a "sanctuary state" bill that would limit police cooperation with federal immigration authorities. It will now be considered by Governor Jerry Brown, who announced his support after the top state Senate leader agreed to water down the bill and preserve authority for jail and prison officials to cooperate with immigration officers in many cases. 2:15 a.m. - The Senate confirmed two of Gov.
