We are ready to go," said Jim Kidrick, President of the San Diego Air & Space Museum.Among the precautions: masks, social distancing, and fewer people. The museum will be at operating at 30% visitor capacity. You'll see hand sanitizer everywhere and a lot of plexiglass when interacting with staff."We want to make sure guests not just visually feel good, but also feel good as they experience the Air & Space Museum," said Kidrick.One of the big challenges for any museum will be visitor interactions with exhibits and touchscreens. Here, each visitor will be handed a stylus pen."Any moment with interactivity where they would normally push with their finger, they can push with their stylus," said Kidrick.One precaution visitors won't see will happen at the staff entrance. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- In response to growing community outrage over a man who was released on bail a day after being arrested on attempted kidnapping charges, the San Diego County Sheriff's Department has released surveillance video of the incident in hopes of alleviating concern.The incident happened Sunday just before 3 p.m. in the parking lot of Costco Warehouse located at 1755 Hacienda Drive in Vista.A couple and their two small children were backing out of a parking stall when the suspect opened the rear vehicle door. The suspect attempted to remove the 2-year-old child from the car.Adam Glavinic, 37, was arrested for attempted kidnapping and being under the influence of a controlled substance and was booked into the Vista Detention Facility.Outrage ensued following reports that Glavinic was released from jail on a 0,000 bail the next day.WATCH: Growing outrage over attempt kidnapping suspect's release on bail"The Sheriff's Department in partnership with the D.A.'s Office are now releasing the video due to understandable concern from community members," said Lt. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - In preparation for one of the most advanced fighter jets in the world, Marine Corps Air Station Miramar is planning security upgrades to its airfield perimeter fence.10News discovered it’s one of nine large-scale construction projects that Miramar will be doing over the next decade."These construction projects here are what enables, that is what brings our national defense policy and strategy to reality," said Public Works Officer Lt. Commander Travis Brinkman.Currently being built in the heart of MCAS Miramar is a 160,000 square foot hangar is designed to hold up to 12 F-35s.It's the first of three hangars planned for the location."The need to provide modern facilities as well as the F-35 has specific requirements, specific systems that need different maintenance, different capabilities within the facility itself to provide that maintenance,” said Brinkman. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — It’s approaching one year since a San Diego Navy Sailor was hurt in an explosion while on deployment, leaving him paralyzed.Saturday, community members rallied together to support wounded sailor, Kenton Stacy, on his journey to recovery. Hundreds of people gathered in Liberty Station for the Stacy Strong 5k.“We feel very blessed,” says Kenton Stacy’s wife, Lindsey. “All the love and support we’ve seen over the last year just has been amazing.”The event had live music, a silent auction, and awards for race winners. During this time last year, the Navy EOD tech was deployed in Afghanistan when an IED exploded while he was clearing out a hospital. The explosion left him paralyzed from the neck down.“It’s definitely been a very hard year… There’s been highs, there’s been lows,” says Lindsey Stacy. Her husband has not made it home from the hospital just yet but, today he was transported and joined family and friends at the event.“I just think he feels so blessed," she added.The funds for the event will go to the EOD warrior foundation. The organization provides financial assistance and resources to wounded active duty service members and veterans. Stacy’s “Alive Day” anniversary is November 9.  1270
