PHOENIX - Believe it or not, a shelter pup was returned to the Arizona Animal Welfare League in Phoenix because he was too good.In a Monday Facebook post, AAWL said 1-year-old Binx was adopted and returned within 48 hours with notes saying he's potty-trained, good with kids and fun to play with. Turns out, Binx's temporary new family wanted more of a challenge from their adoptive pooch and returned him to AAWL.According to the shelter's Facebook page, Binx "can't get anything done at the shelter because everyone is petting me, telling me what a good boy I am, and taking me for walks!"Binx's profile on the AAWL?website says an active family would be ideal for the large-breed dog, who loves to run, hike, and do "anything that involves being outside."Anyone who wants more information on Binx can check him out here. 836

Parents know that a road trip with a baby can be a nightmare. Even stopping for a break hardly counts as "rest." And when it comes to twins? Forget about it.One Reddit user, posting under the handle "neroiscariot" found himself in that exact situation. He says he was returning from his brother's funeral with his wife and twin babies when the family stopped at an IHOP. In an already stressful situation, the poster says he was struggling to keep his children calm.Though the two fussy children seemed to be bothering diners around the restaurant, one customer went of their way to brighten the family's day."A stranger picked up our tab at IHOP while my wife and I were struggling to keep our twin babies calm. We cried," neroiscariot posted. He included a photo of a receipt that included the message "Just breathe you're doing great :)."  875

PALA MESA, CA (KGTV) -- 10News is now digging deeper in the history of violations issued to the company that operated the bus that was involved in this rainy Saturday's deadly crash on I-15 just south of Pala Mesa. “One life lost is too many,” says Chris Turner with the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance. We spoke to him over FaceTime on Monday. The bus was operated by Executive Lines Inc., based in El Monte. According to the federal administration that oversees bus inspections, the company's fleet has had no crashes over the past two years, until now. However, they have had 26 maintenance violations, reportedly. After a November 2019 inspection, the same bus that was involved in this weekend's crash was reportedly issued two violations related to windshield wipers and spare fuses. Turner says violations like those should’ve been fixed right away. “Those need to be remedied before the vehicle is dispatched again,” he adds.10News spoke to attorney Nathan Morris about a separate major bus crash that happened last September in Utah, injuring 22 tourists. He's representing seven of the victims. “[I’m representing] three of those who were killed in the crash and their families as well as four others who were injured to various degrees,” he adds.Morris says bus passengers can look online for a snapshot of a company's safety. “They have a right as passengers of that bus to make sure that the driver and the companies and anybody else are held accountable for keeping the rules,” he says.“You enter the company's USDOT number and it will tell you whether or not they’re a safe company,” says Turner of researching bus companies online. A USDOT number is issued by the Department of Transportation. If you can’t find it on a company’s website, Turner says you can make a phone call. He adds, “One of the things they should readily give you when asked is the USDOT number and if not, that's immediately a red flag. Why won't you provide the number that just lets me check to make sure you're safe?”10News contacted Executive Lines Inc. on Monday to ask if there was anyone who could speak about the crash. The person who answered the phone said “no” before hanging up on the call. Perry Hopsin was just 22 years old when he got into a car accident that would eventually end his life."My brother, he has been to multiple healthcare facilities, fighting for his life for 10 months," said Parris Hopsin.Last month, Perry died and just as his family was starting to cope with the fact that they would never see him again, the same car he was killed in, popped up in front of Perry High School in Stark County, Ohio. The family says it was there to promote their prom promise campaign-which tries to deter teens from drinking and driving."Our family was under the impression that the car was still being held as evidence in this ongoing investigation," said Parris. The only problem is the Hopsins family never consented to it and their loved one was not drinking and driving."It was definitely not the way Perry would want to be represented and/or our family would want him to be represented and remembered," she said. The school has now removed the car and it's back in the towing company's lot."I really appreciate that they would remove it," said Parris. "But it shouldn't have been there."Now Parris and her family still want answers and an apology."Anyone that was responsible for displaying the car I feel should be held accountable for the pain and grief that they have brought upon our family and our friends," she said.Scripps station WEWS in Cleveland reached out to the school district, towing company and the police department but haven't heard anything back.     1520
