Two Las Vegas computer programmers have pleaded guilty in federal court in Virginia to charges stemming from illegal video streaming operations.Federal prosecutors say 36-year-old Darryl Julius Polo pleaded guilty Thursday to copyright infringement and money laundering charges while 40-year-old Luis Angel Villarino pleaded guilty Friday to conspiracy to commit copyright infringement.The Justice Department said the Jetflicks and iSttreamItAll streaming operations involved subscription services that pirated entertainment and deprived copyright holders of millions of dollars.According to a Justice Department statement, Polo admitted that one of the sites had about nearly 120,000 television episodes and nearly 11,000 movies and got the content from pirate sites through searches conducted around the clock. iStreamItAll provided members with more content than Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu and Vudu, according to prosecutors.Additional defendants in the case resulting from an FBI investigation are scheduled to go to trial in February. 1052

Two-month-old Mavis Loan’s main meal consists of milk. But long before she arrived, her parents were thinking about her nutrition. “Once she was pregnant, it was instantly ‘what goes into you goes into her.’ And I know once we do start feeding her solids, it'll be very conscious, yes,” says Mavis’ father, Conor Loan. Loan says he and his wife are proactive in making sure their daughter has a healthy diet. “We want her to be healthy, and we don't want any of the, you know, bad side effects of like childhood obesity,” Loan says. Soon, it will be easier for other parents to follow healthy tips for their children. For the first time, the State Departments of Health and Agriculture (USDA) is providing dietary guidelines and recommendations for pregnant women, infants and young children. Recommendations include what and how much they should eat. Dr. Theodore Stathos, a pediatric gastroenterologist at Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children, says he’s relieved to see health guidelines for pregnant women and young children. “When you read through most of the baby primer books, they talk a little bit about nutrition and choices, but they don't limit the quantities of simple sugars and they don't certainly limit the quantities of fats,” Dr. Stathos says. A 2008 study in the medical journal The Lancet found malnutrition from conception to 24 months was linked to obesity, heart disease and other health problems. Lucy Sullivan, founder of the nonprofit 1000 Days, says "if a child is overweight by age 5, there is a great risk the child will be dealing with obesity his entire life. It can be a life sentence." Dr. Stathos says it can be harder to reverse changes as children get older. That's why although the guidelines won't be issued until next year, he says parents can start now making sure their children have a balanced meal “It's very easy to pick them for them, and if you really want to have a cooperative child, as soon as they are able to point and make choices, you can take them to the grocery store with you and give them choices between two healthy things,” Dr. Stathos suggests. 2118

We met up with a makeup artist who showed us one look that’s not only easy, but you can do it under 10 minutes. “Choosing a Halloween costume and throwing Halloween makeup in it can be really stressful,” said makeup artist Nicole Toledo. “I always love looking through Pinterest get some ideas, looks and then you can make it your own and make it unique.”Toledo spelled out how to paint a simple leopard look. The best part about the costume is that you only need a few products: black and brown eye liner, bronze eyeshadow, bronze lipstick and a few shadow brushes.“And a little eye makeup remover because we all know we aren’t perfect the first time around,” added Toledo. William Bruesewitz died in the attack at Pearl Harbor attack at the age of 26.This month, his family finally laid him to rest 77 years after he died.“Everybody is overjoyed and thrilled that we’re able to do this and very much humbled and honored that we’re able to do it at Arlington National Cemetery,” said Brent Stevenson, Bruesewitz’s nephew.Bruesewitz served in the U.S. Navy and died during an attack on his battleship, the USS Oklahoma.His remains were recovered but could not be identified. For decades, he was buried as an unknown soldier.But advances in technology allowed the military to re-examine his remains and finally make a positive identification.“It was surprising. It was a blessing. It was really quite humbling,” said Stevenson.Scientists at the Department of Defense are working on giving other families the same closure.“Every year it is our goal to identify at least 200 of these service members. But we would like to get that number higher if we can find ways to do it,” said Dr. John Byrd, the chief scientist from the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency.Over the years, Byrd and his team have found new ways to use advanced DNA techniques to identify remains and they continue to make progress.“They have developed over and over again, improved extraction protocols that allow them to get DNA out of bones where yesterday they couldn’t,” said Byrd.But Byrd admits the race against time, not technology, can be the biggest obstacle as older generations pass away.“It’s one of the greatest challenges of all, and this is how do you find close or closet family members of a missing service man from 1944?” Byrd said.Despite the challenges, the mission moves forward to give a name and dignity to thousands of fallen soldiers.“All of this work, ultimately, is being done so that this service member can have his name back and his family will know what happened to him,” said Byrd.“It’s gonna bring a lot of comfort to a lot of families just like it has ours,” said Stevenson. 2010

Two Department of Energy officials referred on Wednesday to natural gas produced in the US as "freedom gas" and "molecules of U.S. freedom" in a press release announcing the expansion of a natural gas facility in Texas.The department announced the expansion of the Freeport LNG Terminal, a facility on Quintana Island, that produces liquified natural gas for export. The expansion of the facility will support an estimated 3,000 new jobs in the area, from construction to engineering, according to the department's release."Increasing export capacity from the Freeport LNG project is critical to spreading freedom gas throughout the world by giving America's allies a diverse and affordable source of clean energy," Under Secretary of Energy Mark Menezes said.Department officials announced the expansion at the Tenth Clean Energy Ministerial conference in Vancouver, Canada."I am pleased that the Department of Energy is doing what it can to promote an efficient regulatory system that allows for molecules of U.S. freedom to be exported to the world," Assistant Secretary for Fossil Energy Steven Winberg, who signed the export order, said in the release.The export order from will allow Freeport LNG to export up to 0.72 billion cubic feet per day of liquified natural gas from a fourth liquefaction train at the LNG Terminal.
