"And then the next morning they canceled on us."Kohl's canceled hundreds of orders, after it admitted it sold more than it had in stock (however it did award everyone impacted 5 in bonus Kohl's Cash to spend).Stephanie Meibers, like thousands of other hopeful parents, found one at Walmart.com on Thanksgiving night, but when she went tried to check out, it vanished."I tried to add it to add it to my cart," she said. "But then I get an 'oh dear' message, and a picture of a little dog with antlers, and then I get 'we are having temporary internet issues.' Then the next thing it said 'out of stock, we have moved it to your save for later folder.'"But the good news is you can now track availability of the PS5 and XBox Series S.Sites to follow and check regularlyYou may want to start by following two Twitter accounts:PS5 Stock Alerts (PlayStation availability only)GYX deals (for both PS5 and Xbox availability)Also bookmark and watch the websites:StockInformer.comNowinStock.netUSA Today suggests you bookmark the Xbox S or PS5 page at Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, and Target, and check several times every day, especially right after midnight when new stock tends to show up.Insane prices on eBayBut from the doesn't that stink file, the insane prices eBay sellers continue to command.Prices for the 9 consoles start around 0 on eBay (if you are lucky), but most sell for over ,000 with Buy it Now prices at ,500 or more. And that stinks. Finally, don't assume stores will be swamped with PS5s and Xboxes in January. Since the pandemic struck at the start of spring, people have been paralyzed with fear. And that fear has stopped many from entering the hospital due to worry about catching the potentially deadly coronavirus. That means heart patients, or other ailments, have gone unchecked but one health crisis that cannot wait is cancer.Aerin Leigh knows COVID-19 can kill, but her fear of dying of cancer is even greater it nearly took her baby girl."We have come so far," Aerin said. "She had leukemia when she was 3. She's 32 now."Medical advances saved her daughter, and Aerin too. Last October, the doctor's discovered cancer had invaded her abdomen."My appendix burst and spilled toxins and cancer into my system and (I) grew a 23-pound tumor," Aerin said. The tumor removal came with a hysterectomy, but the cancer stage 4 had already spread and she needed a second surgery just as the COVID-19 pandemic hit."Even in the scariest of times, like the pandemic, we're in now if they were willing to do my surgery I was going to get it done," Aerin said.Across the country, cancer screenings have been down 80 to 90 percent."Cancer cannot wait," said Dr. Richard Berri. "If we think that we can wait and think that cancer will not progress, or not put our patients in a more difficult position after waiting, then I think we're making a mistake."Dr. Berri is the chief of surgical oncology at Ascension Michigan. He says hospitals are taking all precautions and following CDC guidelines to keep patients safe."I think the hospital is actually one of the safest places to be and when it comes to cancer, the risk of cancer progressing or the risk of cancer being diagnosed at a later stage is far more dangerous than the risk of contracting COVID," Dr. Berri said.Aerin sought treatment at Ascension Michigan because Dr. Berri developed a program to treat advanced cancers of the abdomen like hers. Its called HIPEC, or Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy. In May, Aerin received HIPEC. She was in and out of the hospital in record time – just three days."Is she considered cancer-free? She is," Dr. Berri said. "And I think she continues to do well and we will continue to watch her."Aerin leaves this message: "Take care of yourself because nobody else is going to you are your best advocate."So here's the Rebound Rundown:- Cancer cannot wait, so get screened now- Hospitals are again doing other surgeries and taking all precautions to keep you safeDr. Berri adds that if you're still fearful about coming into the hospital for a cancer screening, they will meet with you virtually. This story was first reported by Carolyn Clifford at WXYZ in Detroit, Michigan. 2667

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — The St. Joseph Police Department (SJPD) is investigating after a woman found a bomb on her front porch.Alexis Washington was up late with her newborn daughter and young son when she heard a loud pop and saw a flash of red light. When she came outside to check it out, she found the bomb on her porch."The cop told me then that the propane tank was leaking, there was ammunition on top of it with a paper towel that was lit on fire," Washington said. "A bomb? I just don't understand, like a bomb? You can't fight that. That's why it's just like you've got to go. I got to go."SJPD Cpt. Jeff Wilson said the bomb was definitely homemade. The porch was doused with kerosene."I don't have any words for it because I don't see how you could do that," Washington said.SJPD and the ATF are investigating.Washington is thankful her family got out safely."All I can say is it was God, you know, because it went out," said Washington. "The paper towel went out and that's what saved us." 1019
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — South Dakota health officials say a number of people who attended the 10-day Sturgis Motorcycle Rally this month, including some who came from out of state, have come down with COVID-19. State Department of Health officials on Thursday didn't give an exact number of rallygoers who tested positive, but they said it was under 25. State epidemiologist Josh Clayton says the health department has received reports from other states that people who traveled from the rally have tested positive. Contact tracers have been able to work with most people to determine who they were around and may have infected. But the health department has issued public warnings for two bars — one in Sturgis and the other at a popular stop for riders along U.S. Highway 385 near Mount Rushmore. Clayton said they did not know how many people were exposed at the bars. The health department did not immediately reply to a question about what other states have reported infections in people who attended the rally. The rally, which ended Sunday, brought hundreds of thousands of people from far and wide to Sturgis. Before it kicked off, some locals and officials worried that it could cause an outbreak that could follow rallygoers after they went home. 1263
Someone out there is sitting on a lottery ticket worth more than .5 billion, but has not stepped forward to claim the prize, according to ABC News. On Oct. 23, a single winning ticket was purchased in South Carolina for the largest Mega Millions jackpot in history. The ticket is also the single most valuable lottery ticket in US history. "We have not heard that the winner in South Carolina has come forward," Mega Millions administrator Seth Elkin told ABC News. The winner has 180 days to claim the prize. That means the winning ticket does not have to be claimed until April. If no winner comes forward, each participating state in the Mega Millions game will get back all the money that state contributed to the unclaimed jackpot, the lottery says on its website. The amount of money that goes unclaimed in state lottery programs is quite staggering. Nearly billion went unclaimed during a 12-month period from late 2016 through early 2017, lottery expert Brett Jacobson told CNN. While most of the unclaimed lottery winnings are from smaller prizes, there have been a few notable examples of massive jackpots going unclaimed. The largest known unclaimed lottery ticket was sold in Georgia in 2011 worth million. Elkin told ABC News that it would be prudent for whoever is holding the winning lottery ticket to sign it, keep it somewhere safe and consult a financial advisor before claiming the prize. 1490
