BEIJING, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) -- Beijing reaped 3.88 billion yuan (617.8 million U.S. dollars) in tourism revenue during this year's seven-day Spring Festival holiday, up 15 percent year on year, local authorities said Friday.

The increase also beat analysts' forecast of 9.4 percent for October.

The country is aiming to double its 2010 gross domestic output and per capita income for both urban and rural residents by 2020, according to the report.
