Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth, Kenosha County Executive Jim Kreuser, City of Kenosha Mayor John Antaramian, and Major General Paul Knapp held a news conference on Monday to update the public on the Jacob Blake case and police brutality protests across the city.Sheriff Beth said that close to 200 people were arrested last week.He added that half those that were arrested were "people from outside the community."The Kenosha Police Department, who was not at the press conference, released a press release on Sunday on Twitter detailing the arrests.In the statement, the department said 175 people were arrested. 102 of those arrests were people with "listed addresses from outside Kenosha. 702

Every day was hard. When that ring was stolen, it was just another stab to the heart," said Purcell.Purcell shared the story on social media, explaining it was a devastating loss for him and his son."This was the one legacy item I wanted to pass on to him," said Purcell.Purcell's wallet was also stolen. The thieves used his credit card at the Walmart at 133rd and State Line; its surveillance video captured the alleged thieves’ faces.KCPD shared those images and together enough tips were gathered that detectives found the rings at a jewelry store in Raymore."They were honestly shocked," said Purcell.KCPD property crimes said it’s best to carefully photograph and document your items as extra insurance. Things like that can help them when trying to locate items.  "The police never gave up," explained Purcell, who said he was incredibly grateful people stepped forward with information. "A few of them actually put their own personal risk on the line."The group Stolen KC promotes people speaking up about theft daily."We’ve had people identified within five or 10 minutes," explained Todd Howerton, who is on the Facebook group's administration team.Members post photos of missing items with the idea that someone knows something. The group would like to grow to a strength of 200,000.  "The massive amount of people can facilitate finding things," said Howerton, who said they can take tips anonymously.That way, the things that are irreplaceable can be found."To have that, it gave me a lot of faith, a lot of hope, and a lot of thankfulness to people in the community who stepped up," said Purcell.Detectives told KSHB they are looking for three suspects in connection with the theft. James Shaw never intended to become a hero when he walked into Waffle House on Murfreesboro Pike in Antioch, Tennessee at 3 a.m. on Sunday, but the 29-year-old single father likely saved dozens of lives when he managed to wrestle a loaded AR-15 from the hands of a gunman.James and his friend BJ McMurry had been at a bar nearby on Saturday night. They had initially stopped at the Waffle House on Bell Road but decided it was too crowded and instead drove to the Murfreesboro Pike restaurant, not knowing the chaos and carnage that would soon unfold.For James, a Tennessee State University graduate, the gunfire at first sounded like dozens of plates falling from behind the counter. As the front windows began shattering though, he knew something was wrong."It was pretty chaotic," James said a few hours after the shooting.As Metro Police said Travis Reinking was unloading round after round inside the busy restaurant, James noticed the gun jammed and saw an opportunity to act."It wasn't a process of thinking, it was more of a now... I have to do this now or it's not gonna be. If I let him reload this weapon there won't be another chance. It was like shooting fish in a barrel," James recalled.James Shaw managed to wrestle the weapon from the hands of Travis Reinking. The barrel of the gun was so hot it singed the skin off of his hands and fingers. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is back working at the Supreme Court building in her chambers, the court's public information officer said Tuesday afternoon.Ginsburg was not on the bench for Tuesday's non-argument session earlier in the day, per a previous Supreme Court announcement.Last week, Ginsburg, 85, fell in her office and fractured three ribs, but by the end of the week had been released from George Washington University Hospital, where she had been admitted Thursday for observation and treatment.Supreme Court Public Information Officer Kathleen Arberg had said earlier Tuesday that Ginsburg was continuing to improve and was working from home in the morning.Ginsburg is the Supreme Court's oldest justice and has previously survived two forms of cancer and a procedure to have a stent placed in her right coronary artery.However, in July, Ginsburg said she hopes to remain in her position beyond 2020."I'm now 85," Ginsburg said?at the time.
