SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Authorities confirmed Monday that a deadly shooting in Chula Vista and a second shooting at Sunset Cliffs in April are related.Police say three people, Britney Canal known as "Giggles", 29, Cesar Alvarado, known as "Capone", 39, and Michael Pedraza, known as "Monster", 27, have been charged and are being held without bail for the deadly crime spree.According to a prosecutor, the murder charges with special circumstances may lead to the death penalty. To illustrate the callous nature of the suspects, the District Attorney said the three celebrated after killing a man in Chula Vista.  627

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Convoy Street already seems like its own neighborhood to many, always bustling with locals at its numerous Asian restaurants and shops.Thursday, community business leaders continued their efforts to put Convoy Street firmly on San Diego's map with a live mural painting art show.The mural, created by local artist Espa?a Garcia Feucht, covers the side of Cross Street Chicken and Beer and was painted live in tandem with Taiko drummers playing and other artists showcasing their work outside the restaurant. "I truly believe that Convoy is big enough to have it's own neighborhood arch."The mural features a rooster holding a beer (a tip of the hat to the region's craft beer scene and the restaurant the mural sits on) with the phrase "made in San Diego" underneath. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Customs and Border Protection officials responded Monday to the arrival at San Diego’s U.S.-Mexico border of the first group of migrants from the caravan moving through Mexico.Some 85 people associated with the LGBTQ+ community are near the San Ysidro Port of Entry, according to journalist Jorge Nieto. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Campaign ads against San Diego District Attorney Summer Stephan over a backlog of rape kits to be tested were recently pulled from television.More than a hundred people stood on the steps of San Diego's Hall of Justice, showing support for Stephan, as she blasted her opponent's television campaign ads. The ads were paid for by the Justice and Public Safety PAC, funded by billionaire financier George Soros."We need your help to get the word out, San Diego is not for sale!"
