(KGTV) - George H.W. Bush, the 41st President of the United States, died on Friday at the age of 94, his family announced late Friday. A statement from his son, former President George W. Bush, reads: "Jeb, Neil, Marvin, Doro, and I are saddened to announce that after 94 remarkable years, our dear Dad has died. George H. W. Bush was a man of the highest character and the best dad a son or daughter could ask for. The entire Bush family is deeply grateful for 41’s life and love, for the compassion of those who have cared and prayed for Dad, and for the condolences of our friends and fellow citizens."The elder Bush served as president from 1989 to 1993, overseeing the United States' efforts in the Persian Gulf during Operation Desert Storm. Bush lost reelection in 1992, losing to Democrat Bill Clinton. Bush arguably had one of most extensive resumes before becoming president, having been a congressman, ambassador to the United Nations, envoy to China, CIA director and vice president. Before serving as president, Bush was Ronald Reagan's vice president from 1981 through 1989. His partnership with Reagan came after an intense battle for the GOP nomination between Bush and Reagan during the 1980 primary season. Bush's wife of 73 years Barbara died in April. Bush has experienced a number of health issues in recent years. He suffered from a form of Parkinson's disease, which forced him to a motorized scooter since 2012. Just one day after his wife's funeral, Bush was hospitalized with a blood infection. His failing health also caused him to miss the inauguration of President Donald Trump in 2017. Denver ranked 37th on the list followed by San Francisco at 48th, Seattle-Tacoma at 57th and Los Angeles 71st. Denver, the highest rated airport in the U.S., was ranked 37th Unfortunately for America’s Finest City, the San Diego International Airport didn’t make the list. All three of the world’s top airports are located in Asia. The Singapore Changi airport took home the list’s top spot for the seventh year in a row followed by Tokyo Haneda and Seoul Incheon. The Singapore Changi Airport connects to more than 200 destinations around the world. In 2017, the airport served 60 million passengers from nearly 100 countries. According to its website, the World Airport awards began in 1999 when Skytrax launched its first global airport satisfaction survey. The goal of the survey is for customers to "make their own, personal choices as to which airport they consider to be the best." Airports are ranked on the list based on a a survey taken by travelers around the world. Skytrax is regarded as a benchmark for the world airport industry. (KGTV) - Dramatic video shows how a plane crash and rescue of the pilot and passenger unfolded off the coast of Northern California. David Lesh purchased his Beechcraft Bonanza a few weeks ago and asked a fellow pilot to record aerial video from a second plane. “We were gonna go fly over the Golden Gate bridge, and do a whole bay tour... obviously didn't make it there,” Lesh said. During the flight, Lesh lost all power five miles off Half Moon Bay Harbor. “I would guess that we probably didn't have much more than maybe a minute or two from the time I figured something was wrong to the time we hit the water,” said Lesh. Lesh’s friend Owen Leipelt was piloting the second plane and watched as Lesh went down. “At one point I lost them. I had been circling and I couldn't see them anymore and David called me on the phone as he was bobbing in the water and he turned me around and he guided me right to where he was,” said Leipelt. Commander Joshua Murphy.
