NYE COUNTY, Nevada — Famed Love Ranch brother owner and GOP Assembly candidate Dennis Hof has died.The Nye County Sheriff's Office confirmed Hof's death Tuesday morning at the Love Ranch in Crystal, outside of Pahrump. Detectives and deputies are currently on scene and conducting an investigation into his death. Hof was 72 years old. His cause of death is unknown at this time. OCEANSIDE, Calif. (KGTV) - The United States Department of Veterans Affairs is being sued in federal court over an Oceanside doctor who is accused of sexually assaulting multiple patients. According to the lawsuit filed this week, the VA is being sued for alleged negligence. Dr. Edgar Manzanera is criminally accused of sexually assaulting five female patients but has pleaded not guilty. One of his accusers who is a veteran is a plaintiff in the new federal suit. According to the complaint, she claims that the Oceanside clinic failed to warn her that several patients had already complained about the doctor's alleged inappropriate sexual contact. According to the court documents, the "…VA did not investigate these prior complaints, or suspend Manzanera from evaluating women for VA."In an email to 10News, a VA spokesperson wrote, “VA does not typically comment on pending litigation.”Dr. Manzanera’s criminal trial starts in September. 952

(AP) — Northern California authorities have arrested a woman they say scammed ,100 from a 75-year-old who lost a home in a wildfire last year that killed 85.The Butte County Sheriff's Office announced Tuesday the arrest of 29-year-old Brenda Rose Asbury for elder abuse, embezzlement and grand theft.Detectives say Asbury stole from an insurance settlement that the victim received after losing a home in the 2018 Camp Fire.A warrant for her arrest was issued in September.Asbury turned herself in to Butte County authorities on Monday after driving three days from Tulsa, Oklahoma, and on the advice of her attorney, Michael Erpino of Chico.Sheriff's office spokeswoman Megan McMann said Asbury is in jail on ,100 bail.She is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday. 793

(KGTV) - The Oceanside Police Department asked for the public’s help Friday to find a missing man.Richard Teller, 80, was last seen at his home Thursday night at 10 pm.Police said Teller suffers from health conditions that require medication, which he does not have with him.Teller is believed to be driving a black 2006 Cadillac CTS with a California license plate of 5YDG829.Police said Teller is white, 5’9”, 190 pounds, with short gray hair and hazel eyes.Anyone who sees him is asked to call Oceanside Police at 760-435-4900. 556
