There's a new scam going around and it's targeting users of a popular mobile payment app.Venmo's roughly 40 million users could soon be getting a message from the app, but it may just be an attempt to scam you, police warn.Here's how the scam works, according to the Dighton Police Department in Massachusetts.Venmo users receive a text message saying their Venmo account is about to be charged, and if they want to cancel the withdrawal they need to log on and decline it.The message allows people to log on to a website with any phone number and password combination. The ousted Grammys CEO is firing back at the Recording Academy, alleging she was removed after complaining about sexual harassment and pay disparities. Deborah Dugan also says she called out conflicts of interest in the nominations for music's biggest awards. Dugan was placed on administrative leave last week. Her lawyers filed a discrimination case Tuesday with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. In the sexual harassment and gender discrimination complaint filed Tuesday, Dugan alleges the voting process for the Grammy Awards is "illustrative of the boys' club mentality that exists at the Academy and amongst its Board members."Dugan also alleges that the nominations process is shrouded in secrecy, and that people who have professional or personal relationships with artists sit on the committees that finalize the nominees for the Grammy Awards."To make matters worse, the Board is permitted to simply add in artists for nominations who did not even make the initial 20-artist list. Naturally, the members of the 12 Board and the secret committees chose artists with whom they have personal or business relationships," the complaint states. Trump orders rapid withdrawal from Syria in apparent reversal19 DEC 18 10:23 ETBy Barbara Starr and Ryan Browne, CNN    (CNN) -- Planning is underway for a "full" and "rapid" withdrawal of US troops from Syria, a US defense official told CNN Wednesday.The decision, which would be a reversal from previously stated US policy, was made by President Donald Trump, who has long signaled his desire to get out of Syria, the official added.On Wednesday morning, the President tweeted, "we have defeated ISIS in Syria, my only reason for being there during the Trump Presidency."Even though the US will continue to maintain troops in Iraq with the capability of launching strikes into Syria, a US withdrawal of ground forces would fulfill a major goal of Syria, Iran and Russia and risks diminishing US influence in the region.The US has about 2,000 troops on the ground in the country, where they are primarily training local forces to combat ISIS. The US-backed and Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces have had some recent success against the terror group and are on the cusp of capturing the last major town held by ISIS east of the Euphrates.Estimates vary as to how many ISIS fighters are left in Syria. In the town of Hajin, the terror group's last redoubt, the coalition estimated some 2,000 ISIS fighters were present. But a Defense Department inspector general report put the number of ISIS members in Syria and Iraq as high as 30,000.The US has forces in Iraq ready to launch attacks in Syria if necessary. In the last few weeks, the US-led coalition fighting ISIS has carried out hundreds of air and artillery strikes targeting ISIS in Syria. Some of those strikes were launched from neighboring Iraq, where the US has over 5,000 troops. Hundreds of US troops have also been training local forces at At Tanf in southern Syria, where Russia-backed pro-regime forces are seeking to oust the US presence.Pentagon spokesman Col. There’s a place called Friendship Park between Tijuana, Mexico and San Diego, California. It is the only place along the Southern California border where families can legally reunite on both sides of the fence. Friendship Park, or El Parque de la Amistad, is a historic meeting place on the US-Mexico border that overlooks the Pacific Ocean. On most days in San Diego, the park is lonely. But on weekends, it is overwhelmed with Americans hoping to see their relatives on the other side of the border. People come from hours away just to have a brief encounter with their families. In Tijuana, during the weekdays is a different story. The beach has numerous people there enjoying themselves. Most have nothing but good things to say about the opportunity the park provides on the weekends for those seeking to see their families on the other side. “I have lived her for 20 years and I got involved in the border stuff in the early 2000s,” said Dan Watman, a member of the organization Friends of Friendship Park. “When families reunite with each other here, they can’t kiss each other or hug each other.
