Families will often come together to offer hospitality to the spirits during this Mexican tradition.The event covers Nov. 1 - 2. On the first day, it's believed that the souls of children return — because they come back faster — and adults return the next day. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Still many unanswered questions after alleged Poway synagogue shooter appeared at his readiness hearing in San Diego Superior Court.The Deputy District Attorney, David Grapilon, said he doesn't know if this will be a death penalty case and can't tell 10News how the 19-year-old legally obtained the gun used during the shooting.In the state case the shooter faces one count of murder, three counts of attempted murder and a count of arson against an Escondido mosque."We have still not received recordings of the witnesses, we expect that there's going to be firearms analysis which will be crucial for this case, we also expect that there's going to be computer evidence involving my client's computer which is going to be very relevant in this case," Public Defender John O'Connell said.The evidence is already extensive, more than 700 pages handed over from the Deputy District Attorney to the defense. More evidence includes surveillance video of the shooting from the time he entered to the time he left the synagogue."The Sheriff's Department did a pretty exhaustive investigation along with the FBI, and allied agencies and there's a lot of statements of witnesses that we're taking," Grapilon said. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Since they got the call for help a week ago, San Diego Border Dreamers has been working around the clock to set up an emergency medical clinic in Tijuana.Board Director Milad Torabi says he's getting word migrants have conditions including fevers, rashes, blisters and bad sunburns. On a Go Fund Me, they're raising money for basic medical, first aid, and sanitary supplies.The advocacy group is partnering with two UC San Diego organizations which specialize in this area: Flying Samaritans and the International Health Collective.They're accepting monetary donations as well as medical supplies.San Diego Border Dreamers is also seeking doctors, nurses, medical students, acupuncturists, physical therapists and medical translators willing to volunteer their time. 799

One of the people accused in the scheme is Toby MacFarlane, who was a senior executive at an insurance company living in Del Mar, according to the indictment. According to the document, MacFarlane participated in the scheme by agreeing to use bribery to get his son and daughter into USC for soccer and basketball. MacFarlane reportedly paid 0,000 to various organizations for the admissions. His daughter attended the school from 2014 to 2018 when she graduated, according to the documents. His son attended the school from 2017 to 2018. MacFarlane is being charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud. The other San Diegan accused in the scheme is Elisabeth Kimmel, a former owner and president of a media company that owned KFMB. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego's museums received a glimmer of hope following the reveal of California's new guidance.That's because San Diego County was placed in the second tier, "substantial." Now, several businesses will have to opportunity to reopen, as they did in June, with modifications indoors.The San Diego Air and Space Museum announced it plans to reopen on Monday. When the museum reopened in June, staff implemented safety policies including capacity limits, social distancing, facemasks for guests and employees, hand sanitizer stations, and continuous cleaning. Museum staff also were required to have their temperatures screened daily before entering.RELATED: Several San Diego County businesses to reopen indoors with limits under new guidanceThis time around, museums will have to limit indoor activities to 25% capacity in addition to modifications, according to the state's guidance for tier two.The museum is one of a handful of Balboa Park attractions that have been able to welcome guests back.
