LOS ANGELES (AP) — Orange County sheriff's deputies shot and killed a Black man Wednesday after he allegedly tried to grab one of their guns during a struggle. According to an Orange County Sheriff's Department press release, two deputies from the Homeless Outreach Team made contact with the man outside the Hotel Miramar in San Clemente. "During the contact, a physical altercation occurred. Surveillance video at the scene showed that during the physical altercation, the subject attempted to gain control of a deputy’s gun," the department said in the news release. "Shortly after, a deputy-involved shooting occurred. Deputies began lifesaving measures, and the subject was pronounced deceased at the scene."The latest killing of a Black person by law enforcement happened on the same day as the decision not to charge Kentucky police officers for Breonna Taylor's death was announced. (KGTV) — Long Beach Police and transit officials are investigating whether a crime was committed this week when a man in a suit dragged an unconscious, partially naked man off a train, leaving him on the platform.[Warning: graphic video] Cell phone video shows the moments when the man dragged the other man off the train at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. The man recording the video says the unconscious man had just suffered a seizure, Los Angeles ABC-affiliate KABC reported.The man in the suit then grabs the unconscious man's belongings and tosses them off the train and returns to his seat.The man recording the video argued with the man in the suit about what he had done. The two of them continued to argue for about five minutes before the man in the suit gets off the train to check on the unconscious man.Medics eventually arrive to help the unconscious man, who was taken to a nearby hospital. His condition is not yet clear.Police and train officials are now investigating if the man in the suit committed a crime by dragging the man off the train."Obviously, this is very disturbing and we never want to see this on our system. LOS ANGELES (AP) — An autopsy report says “Glee” actor Naya Rivera raised her arm and called for help as she accidentally drowned while boating with her 4-year-old son on a California lake. The report released Friday by the Ventura County Medical Examiner says the 33-year-old Rivera was a strong swimmer. It says she had suffered from vertigo and had a recent sinus infection but neither were factors in her death.
