SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A toddler found near Lincoln High School Thursday afternoon has been reunited with his parents.According to a witness, the child was found wandering around near the corner of Franklin Avenue and Gloria Street.The witness, who had just dropped her granddaughter off at cheer practice, said the toddler wasn’t crying, but simply standing on the street alone.The woman approached the child and asked if he was lost before the toddler smiled back at her. She then asked where he lived.After the child pointed down the street, the woman took his hand and called out loudly asking if anyone lost a child.After no one came forward, the woman took the young child to a nearby fire station where a fire crew was able to call police.Police were able to bring the child safely to a police station where they took care of him until he was brought home. 868

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A three-year-old child suffered serious injuries after he was run over by a pickup truck Saturday morning in El Cerrito.The child reportedly stepped in front of a full-sized truck in the Quad area of Crawford High School, when he was hit. The truck ran over the child's head, according to San Diego Police.Police said the child sustained non-life threatening injuries, including two skull fractures and abrasions.The 31-year-old driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.The incident is under investigation. 557

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A total of 444 total confirmed and probable cases have been identified among San Diego State University students, the school said Wednesday.According to SDSU, 440 students have tested positive for COVID-19 with four students who have probable cases.San Diego County health officials added that one of the students was hospitalized. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – A year-long construction project to improve State Route 163 hit a milestone Tuesday morning with the completion of work on Friars and Frazee Roads.Crews arrived early in the morning, finishing up last minute preps before the big reveal. One noticeably new addition are signal lights put in place to help regulate the flow of traffic.The city also made improvements, like adding lanes on Friars Road. There are four lanes going east and four lanes going west. Changes to the on and off ramps from the 163 onto Friars Road may reduce the confusion and congestion caused by the old traffic pattern. Crews also added sidewalks and clearly-marked bike lanes. “We can separate and have a path for all modes of traffic including foot and bike traffic. So, it will be safer for everyone using Friars Road.
