Federal Judge Robert Lasnik issued a temporary restraining order on Tuesday "blocking federal government from allowing distribution of downloadable 3D printed" guns, according to a tweet from the Washington State Office of the Attorney General."The judge's rule is clear," Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson said at a news conference. "We go back to the status quo, before the federal government made the disastrous decision to undo these protections for public safety."At least 10 US states were scrambling to block access to plans that would allow people to print 3D guns on Tuesday.New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced a series of actions Tuesday to prevent the distribution of the 3D gun designs. Cuomo issued a cease-and-desist letter to Defense Distributed, a Texas gun-rights organization that posts the plans online, to block the distribution of designs for 3D guns in New York. But critics say there is vague guidance for what happens if there is a school outbreak.As states across the country weigh the risks of reopening schools this fall, the message from the White House has been loud and clear.Last week, President Donald Trump stated he would like schools to reopen, stating, “Yeah, I would like to see the schools opened, open 100 percent.”Most doctors, educators, and psychologists agree that going back to school would be in the best interest of students. But what happens if just one student contracts the coronavirus? Would that force a shutdown?Some health experts are wary.“Once you start getting into dozens, or even more kids and teachers starting to get infected, it's going to be very hard to keep that school open, said Dr. Ashish Jha, a professor of medicine and the director of Harvard University’s Global Health Institute.“We have to have really smart planning and we have to have a clear protocol for how to identify kids and teachers and staff who get infected and then know what to do when we identify them. I just haven't seen that kind of clear protocol yet.”Late last week, the CDC did issue new guidelines for school reopening. Facebook and Instagram were both having issues as users reported problems with the social media sites early Tuesday morning. According to downdetector.com,  the East coast is reporting the most problems with Facebook in the United States, but issues are being reported globally as well. This is the second time this month users from all over have reported Facebook being down.Instagram users were also reporting problems, according to downdetector.com.Some of the problems with Facebook included not being able post status updates, the page not loading at all or loading very slow, not being able to send messages over Facebook's separate Messenger app and some saying they received an error message indicating the site was doing maintenance, among other issues.Instagram users reported the app not loading and showing an error message.Some people were able to access Facebook or Instagram, or both, later in the morning and without problems.
