SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Several grocery stores are implementing special shopping hours to make sure those most vulnerable to the coronavirus pandemic get supplies without worry.Target, Whole Foods, Albertsons, and others have started opening an hour early to certain groups so they can shop without stress.Here's a list of where those at-risk populations can shop before the general public:COSTCO: Will open special hours for those 60 and up effective on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8-9 a.m. No guests will be admitted.Target: Opening each Wednesday to "vulnerable guests," including the elderly and those with underlying health concerns, an hour early.Walmart: Walmart will offer hour-long senior shopping every Tuesday from March 24 through April 28, for customers aged 60 and older. This will start one hour before the store opens, so check location hours before going. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego Police say they received a call regarding a goat on the loose in the tailgate lot near Petco Park on Sunday.SDPD said a goat was apparently running around the lot sometime before 2 p.m., before the owner of the animal had retrieved the goat and left the area before officers arrived."Officers are responding to reports of a goat running around the area of tailgate lot in downtown. The latest is the owner has the goat and is walking him back to his vehicle saying he was a BAAAAAAAD goat. The owner and his goat left the area prior to police arrival," the department tweeted.The department said a couple of hours later that officers later found the man and his goat elsewhere downtown and learned the goat's name: "Tom Brady." 764

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego State University is launching two task forces after a 19-year-old died earlier this month after attending a fraternity event.Dylan Hernandez died Nov. 8 after falling out of the top bunk in his dorm.In the wake of the tragedy, SDSU suspended all 14 of its fraternities. On Wednesday, it announced the creation of two task forces to address student life and attack issues that may have led to Hernandez's death. About half of the 28 members are university employees and administrators, while about five are current students. Erik Johannesen, a chapter advisor for the Delta Sigma Phi, will participate in the task force on activities and safety. "Fraternities, when they're operating well, they're the great finishing school for every young man that joins one," said Johannesen, who graduated SDSU in 1981. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego's Board of Supervisors Wednesday approved a new initiative to encourage homeowners in the county's unincorporated areas to develop "granny flats" to help ease the region's housing shortage.The initiative will waive county permit and development impact fees over the next five years for property owners who want to build granny flats or other small dwellings on lots with existing homes.
