SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Local window washers put on tights, capes, and masks to cheer up and surprise patients at Rady Children’s Hospital on Halloween.The team of superheroes not only wiped away dirt but shared some smiles for Halloween.“It means the world to these kids, just to see them and it brightens up their day a little bit,” said Kelly Mikulsky, whose daughter is fighting Leukemia.The window washers, from A-Plus Window Cleaning in El Cajon, dawned the iconic costumes of Spider-Man, Superman, Captain America, and others as they washed the building's windows from inside and outside.This is the 2nd year they’ve surprised the Rady Children's patients on Halloween. 689

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - While bars are set to open Friday, it's not going to look much different from restaurants right now, according to those in the industry.10News spoke with Nathan Colonero, the Director of Operations at Sandbox Pizza and The Tipsy Crow, and he said the only change will be businesses without a food license will be able to reopen and bars that serve food don't have to enforce a food order on each tab.Customers will be required to wear masks when they walk in and may only remove their mask once seated.Tables must be spaced at least six feet apart or partitioned.Colonero is hopeful the easing restrictions will continue, "who knows? Maybe three more weeks and no spike and we get a little more back to, the biggest thing for us is to get back to, if people are allowed to be in the venue, maybe at a lower capacity, just not seated."Many San Diego bars with food licenses have been open for the past three weeks and some are feeling the squeeze of the new restrictions."The 0 unemployment is killing businesses right now to get staff back," Colonero said. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Uber announced Wednesday that the ride sharing company has chosen San Diego to be part of the new Uber Rewards program.The program lets users earn points every time they use Uber or Uber Eats, and the loyalty program has four membership levels: Blue, Gold, Platinum and Diamond.Once customers sign up, they’ll begin to earn points. Users will earn one point for every eligible dollar spent on UberPool and Uber Eats, two points for UberX, UberXL, Select and WAV and three points for Black and Black SUV.Once you earn 500 points within six months, you’ll advance from Blue to Gold. At 2,500 points you’ll advance to Platinum.
