Joseph Price, 24, of San Diego, convinced the victim to post an online advertisement offering sex and drove her to meet with customers throughout San Diego County, according to court documents.The complaint filed last year states that the girl took part in the commercial sex acts on nearly a dozen occasions last summer and all of the money she earned went to Price. She also told investigators that on one occasion, when she did not want to engage in certain sex acts that the customer -- or ``john'' -- requested, Price struck her in the face.Price was arrested last August by San Diego police in connection with a parole violation stemming from a first-degree burglary conviction. He was later charged with sex trafficking of a minor by federal prosecutors and pleaded guilty last December.As part of his plea, Price also admitted to meeting two other underage girls over social media and encouraging them to take part in sex acts for money. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A motorcyclist was hospitalized with several broken bones after crashing into a pickup truck that turned in front of him in the El Cerrito area of San Diego, authorities said.It was reported at 7:16 p.m. Saturday in the 5500 block of El Cajon Boulevard, said San Diego police Officer Robert Heims.The 29-year-old man was riding a Ducati motorcycle eastbound on El Cajon Boulevard when a 45-year-old man driving a Toyota Tacoma made a left turn in front of him while aiming for a private driveway, violating the motorcyclist's right of way, Heims said. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Health officials Wednesday announced the deaths of two more residents in San Diego County due to influenza-related complications, bringing this flu season's confirmed death toll to five. A 78-year-old North County woman died earlier this month and a 70-year- old woman died in July, but both deaths were only reported last week, according to the county Health and Human Services Agency. Both women, who were not publicly identified, had no record of receiving a flu shot and both had additional medical issues, HHSA officials said. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A suspected drunken driver crashed into a house in the Miramar Ranch North area of San Diego Saturday morning and was hospitalized with life threatening injuries.The man was driving his 2014 Hyundai eastbound in the 11700 block of Cypress Canyon Road when he made a left turn onto the 11500 block of Sun Ray Court about 12:30 a.m., according to Officer Robert Heims of the San Diego Police Department."As (the driver) was turning, he made an unsafe movement to his left, lost control and crashed into a house," Heims said.The driver was taken to a hospital with major head and face injuries, considered to be life threatening, Heims said.DUI was suspected and the crash was being investigated by SDPD Traffic Division.The name of the driver was not disclosed.No other injuries were reported. 817
