INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — This year has been especially hard on local musicians, who typically rely on gigs in restaurants and clubs to make ends meet. But for the past nine months the pandemic has kept that from happening.Everybody is taking a financial hit this year whether it's a music venue, music artist, even people on the audio/video side of things," said Jake Huber.Before the pandemic, local film maker Jake Huber and live venue owner Mike Angel launched the web TV series called 'Music in Transit' a way to highlight the Circle City's musicians as they perform live shows on IndyGo buses and bus stops."It's really that simple. We put bands on a bus and when it allows for it an audience too," said Angel.Season one was all about surprising new audiences. "You stop in your own tracks and you're like oh, what is this I'm experiencing right now? After a while every single act we had formed a crowd, and through that many acts have reached out to us saying thank you because I've gained a new audience. I've had people buy our record, just from these videos," Huber said.Season Two of Music in Transit will look a bit different. The mobile shows are socially distanced this time around, with a limited crowd. INDIANAPOLIS -- A fill-up at an Indianapolis gas station turned out to cost an Indiana man more than 0 after the fuel was contaminated with water.Steve Schwartz usually heads out with a full gas tank. But one day, he noticed he was running on empty. So he pulled over to the Citgo in Indianapolis. With more than 16 gallons of fuel, he was good -- for about a mile. "After I put the gas in the car, all the lights on the dash went on and the car started to shutter," Schwartz said. He took his 2005 Lexus to be checked out. A techncian took a gasoline sample and noted "mostly water found inside the gas tank. Drained out bad fuel."The .50 he first spent at the gas pump led to a repair bill of 0. "I went to the owner several times and admitted there was a gas contamination problem and he told me would make an insurance claim and have them contact me the following day."But the call from the insurance company never came. The Boston-area resident was among those who participated in Moderna’s coronavirus vaccine trial.Moderna’s vaccine has been hailed as a medical breakthrough. The vaccine has been considered 94.1% effective against the virus. According to Moderna, none of the thousands who were given two shots of the vaccine had severe COVID-19 symptoms. That is compared to 30 patients who were given a placebo who had symptoms.While the vaccine could nearly eliminate the number of hospitalizations and deaths associated with the virus, the shot might result in some symptoms."I actually had some pretty significant symptoms after I got the second dose. Once I got the second dose, I was fine while I was in the hospital. But that evening was rough. I mean, I developed a low-grade fever, and fatigue and chills," Batalvi told CNN.But by the next day, Batalvi said he felt “ready to go.”In an interview with CNN last week, Operation Warp Speed chief scientific adviser Moncef Slaoui said that 10 to 15% of those immunized had noticeable side effects.“Most people will have much less noticeable side effects. That frankly -- in comparison to a 95% protection against an infection that can be deadly or significantly debilitating -- I think is an appropriate balance," he told CNN.Batalvi was entered in a double blind trial, meaning he doesn’t know if he was given a placebo or the actual vaccine."I hope once this vaccine comes out, people feel confident taking it. I mean, I'm right here: I took the vaccine -- it was all right.
