(KGTV) — Police are asking the public for help finding a 13-year-old who ran away from home on Sunday.Chula Vista Police say Angel, 13, ran away from his home at about 11 a.m. Based on his age and statements made to his family, police believe Angel to be at risk.Angel is described as a Hispanic male, 5-feet 8-inches tall, and weighing about 115 pounds. He has black hair with bleached ends and brown eyes. He usually wears a pink or black hooded sweatshirt, black Vans shoes with skull images on them, and typically has a skateboard with him.He has no known physical ailments, police added.Police said Angel has friends in the Imperial Beach area and family in Tijuana, Mexico, though there were no indications that he had plans to go to either location.Anyone with information on Angel's whereabouts is asked to call Chula Vista Police at 619-691-5151. 1009

TULSA, Okla. — A north Tulsa mother is concerned after she says she found thousands of dollars of unused school supplies and more than a dozen folders of private information from former students.The district says it’s common to get new curricular materials, but have limited storage to keep old materials. One former McKinley Elementary mother says it’s a shame it’s not put to better use.Kat Knight's living room is filled with watercolors, flashcards, unused lesson plans, play-doh, and rulers.“There’s nothing wrong with it," Knight said.“National Geographic, come on people," Knight said. "You can’t update that stuff; it’s history.”It was all found in dumpsters at McKinley Elementary.“I think they’re doing a great disservice to themselves and a lot of people," Knight said.Knight is homeschooling her 5-year-old daughter this year. The supplies she found is saving her thousands of dollars.“I might have saved a little more than ,000," she said. “I understand updating books, I get that. But can we donate these books?”Knight also found tests results from former students and personal information — student ID numbers, addresses, and phone numbers.“I understand if maybe it was a mistake but whose mistake was it?" parent Carolyn Trude said. "Are they going to be punished for this? Because this is wrong.”Tulsa Public Schools says it’s protocol to shred private information, but sometimes mistakes happen. Bakery owner Gerry Lawrie says has stood outside the front door for more than 20 years. Before that, it stood outside a previous location in Mira Mesa for several years. "He was particularly liked by the children. They like to run up and touch him, and take photos next to him," said Lawrie.The store mascot turned neighborhood icon vanished Tuesday night. In the surveillance video, a vehicle is seen pulling up just before 10:30 p.m. A man gets out and walks toward statue and pushes it to check the weight. He then walks back toward the truck, before turning around and eventually picking up the statue. Finally, he tosses it into the truck and drives off."Disappointed for sure," said Lawrie.Lawrie and his wife Lynn are both at a loss."Feels sad and empty because he was such a part of us. Customers are really upset," said Lynn Lawrie."The Baker Man" was first purchased at an antique warehouse in Corona. They believe it's fiberglass and weighed less than 100 pounds. The owners are making a direct appeal to the thief."He's a special friend and we would like him returned," he said. Two naval aviators have been declared dead after their FA-18 fighter jet crashed off the coast of Key West, Florida, on Wednesday around 4:30 p.m., the US Navy announced on Twitter.The two-person crew ejected, Navy Cmdr. Mike Kafka said. The Navy added that the jet, which was on a training flight, is part of Strike Fighter Squadron 213, known as the Blacklions.Rescue crews recovered both aviators from the water, the Navy said in a tweet.
