As of midday, no evacuation orders had been issued in the Malibu area, the scene of the recent Woolsey Fire that now has residents on the lookout for mud and debris flows. A mudslide during the morning commute inundated a stretch of Pacific Coast Highway near Leo Carrillo State Beach, forcing a full closure of the heavily traveled roadway clear north to Ventura County. Crews had the bulk of the mud cleared by midday, and the road was reopened. In Orange County, voluntary evacuation orders were issued Thursday morning for select neighborhoods near the Holy Fire, affecting the Trabuco Creek, Rose Canyon and Mystic Oaks/El Cariso areas. LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Prosecutors recommended Friday that Oscar-nominated actress Felicity Huffman serve one month behind bars and pay a ,000 fine for her role in the college admissions cheating scandal, according to a filing in Boston federal court. The “Desperate Housewives'' actress pleaded guilty in May to conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud for paying ,000 to have a proctor correct her daughter's answers on a college-entrance exam. In their sentencing memorandum filed Friday, prosecutors also recommended that the 56-year-old actress, who earned an Oscar nod for ``Transamerica,'' serve one year of supervised release following her stint in federal custody. Prosecutors suggested in May they would seek as much as four months in prison for Huffman. Huffman's attorneys filed court papers asking that the judge sentence the actress to one year of probation and 250 hours of community service. More than two dozen people submitted letters of support to the court, including Huffman's husband William H. Macy and ``Desperate Housewives'' co-star Eva Longoria.But prosecutors wrote that anything less than a jail term would be insufficient, describing Huffman's conduct as ``deliberate and manifestly criminal,'' according to the sentencing memorandum. LOS ANGELES (AP) — Georgia Engel, who played the charmingly innocent, small-voiced Georgette on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" and amassed a string of other TV and stage credits, has died. She was 70.Engel died Friday in Princeton, New Jersey, said her friend and executor, John Quilty. The cause of death was unknown because she was a Christian Scientist and didn't see doctors, Quilty said Monday.Engel was best known for her role as Georgette on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show," whose character was improbably destined to marry pompous anchorman Ted Baxter, played by Ted Knight.Engel also had recurring roles on "Everybody Loves Raymond" and "Hot in Cleveland." She was a five-time Emmy nominee, receiving two nods for the late Moore's show and three for "Everybody Loves Raymond."Engel's prolific career included guest appearances on a variety of shows, including "The Love Boat," ''Fantasy Island," ''Coach" and "Two and a Half Men."
