Walmart will begin taking the temperature of its employees prior to their shifts in the hopes of preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus, the company said in a press release on Monday.According to the press release, the company is in the process of sending digital thermometers to all of its store locations, which could take up to three weeks. Once the thermometers arrive, all employees will have their temperature taken before every shift. Those who have fevers of over 100 will be paid for the day and sent home. Any employees with a fever have been asked not to return to work until they go three straight days without a fever of over 100.Walmart said it would also supply gloves and masks to employees who want them. WASHINGTON (AP) — The Peace Corps is telling its volunteers around the world that it is suspending all operations globally and evacuating all volunteers in light of the spread of the new coronavirus. In an open letter to volunteers posted Sunday on its website, the federal agency's director, Jody Olsen, says the decision follows recent evacuations in China and Mongolia due to the outbreak. Olsen says that with evacuations now underway at other posts and travel becoming more challenging by the day, the agency decided to expand the suspension and evacuations. WhatsApp has revealed a vulnerability in its system that could have allowed hackers access to its users' phones, with a London-based human rights lawyer possibly among the targets.The encrypted messaging service, owned by Facebook, said Monday that it had discovered and fixed the vulnerability the attackers had sought to exploit. There is one amusement park that's changing the way visitors experience a ride.Elitch Gardens amusement park in Colorado just opened their new ride called Kaleidescape, an art-focused ride. The park partnered with Santa Fe, New Mexico’s famous art installation Meow Wolf, which is known for an immersive, interactive experience. They wanted to bring that same focus to the ride.“It is very visually dense," describes artist Frankie Toan, who helped create the ride.
