(KGTV) - The search for a young East San Diego County man will be profiled this month by missing persons investigator John Walsh. Twenty-year-old Elijah Runningbear Diaz, a member of the Barona Tribe, was last seen Aug. 29, 2015 in El Cajon. His mother dropped him off at his home on Joey Lane about 10 p.m. Diaz’ mother reported him missing the next day - the day his cell phone was turned off. There was no further activity on his bank account or social media. RELATED: Family still searching for missing El Cajon man Officers found a 50-inch television had been removed from his bedroom along with his sheets and the contents of a safe. Diaz has type one diabetes and, at the time of his disappearance, had a serious foot injury that required him to use crutches. He also has a bear claw tattoo on his inner left forearm. El Cajon Police joined Diaz’ friends and relatives for a door-to-door search near his home in 2015. A 10th child has died following an outbreak of adenovirus at a New Jersey rehabilitation facility, state health officials said.At least 27 children have been linked to the outbreak at the Wanaque Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Haskell, the New Jersey Department of Health said."To date, the individuals associated with the outbreak became ill between Sept. 26 and Oct. 29," it said. "The affected children had severely compromised immune systems — including respiratory problems — before the outbreak began."The viruses are found on unclean surfaces and medical instruments. They may not be eliminated by common disinfectants, but they rarely cause severe illness in healthy people. 700

The shelter is also welcoming cash donations on its website.The United Way of Greater Los Angeles started a disaster relief fund for fire victims.The County of Los Angeles Department of Animal Care and Control has opened multiple shelter sites to take in animals displaced by the fires. Cash donations to the Los Angeles County Animal Care Foundation's Noah's Legacy Fund will support the department's disaster relief efforts.The Red Cross Los Angeles Region would like cash donations on its website or over the phone at 1-800-RED-CROSS.
