SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A man who reportedly threatened to “kill all the gays and children” at the San Diego Pride parade was charged with three bank robberies after authorities linked him to both the threats and the robberies. According to authorities, Andre Lafayette Holmes was linked to three bank robberies in San Diego County spanning from 2016 to 2019 after reportedly making the threats against Pride. FBI agents identified Holmes following threats he made to Pride organizers on July 10, 2019, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s office. In the first of two late-morning calls to organizers of the parade, the caller said: : “I think I’m going to have to kill all the gays and the children.” He then repeated, “I’m going to have to kill the f------ and children.” The employee asked, “Sir, what’s your name?” The caller replied: “I don’t like them” and “I hate the f------," the U.S. Attorney's office says. Authorities say he then hung up the phone before calling again about four minutes later, stating: “F--- Donald Trump. I hate Hillary. I hate f---. I’m going to shoot up the Pride event.” San Diego Police were able to track Holmes down near Miramar College using his cellphone. After searching his vehicle and home, investigators found evidence linking him to the bank robberies, including a semi-automatic pistol, a rubber “old man” mask, a large bag of cash and clothes believed to have been worn by the bank robber. Holmes is accused of robbing a US Bank on Campo Road in Spring Valley on November 4, 2016; Mission Federal Credit Union in San Diego on June 14, 2018, and California Bank and Trust on Fifth Avenue, also in San Diego, on June 28, 2019. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A man is in custody after a chase ended in a standoff with police at a Mission Bay Motel Sunday morning. Police say the chase started just before 9 a.m. at the A-1 Storage on Garnett Avenue after officers received a citizens' tip. The suspect driving a U-Haul truck led police on a short chase to the 4300 block of Mission Bay Drive near Roadway in San Diego.According to police, the man is wanted on felony weapons charges. After the chase ended, a woman in the passenger seat was detained while the driver ran into the nearby motel. The woman was later released. While searching for the suspect throughout the motel, officers learned that the man broke through several walls to try and escape. “This guy starts forcing himself into apartments, and now we have to deal with a possible hostage situation. That’s the reason why we brought so many resources down here. We wanted to get this guy into custody as fast as we can," Lt. Christian Sharp with the San Diego Police Department said. Eventually, police had to use chemical gas and a K-9 to apprehend the suspect, who has yet to be identified.  1166

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A local contractor is facing criminal charges for allegedly taking customers money and doing little to no work.On Monday Stephen Hage Jr. plead not guilty to charges ranging from grand theft to improper home improvement contract procedures.According to the prosecutor Hage allegedly took down payments on home improvement contracts, and after getting the money disappeared after performing little to no work.In November, a Team 10 investigation discovered some customers who said they signed a contract with American Pride Enterprises, paid thousands of dollars up front and were left with little or nothing. James Francois said he paid Hage more than ,000 for a patio.“He never showed up, never delivered any material, never did an hour of work,” Francois told 10News in November.The Contractors State License Board revoked American Pride Enterprises' license for non-compliance with an arbitration award in July of 2018.After the hearing Team 10 investigator Adam Racusin asked Hage if he had a comment about the allegations. Hage’s attorney said they had no comment. Hage is scheduled to be back in court in May. 1144

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A mysterious monolith that appeared in a San Diego parking lot earlier this week is gone, the structure torn down by a group of people in an incident captured on social media Tuesday night. The monolith was in the Scripps Ranch Marketplace parking lot. Similar structures have been popping up all over the country and the world since mid-November. In videos posted to social media, a large group of people can be seen pushing over and then carrying away the shiny, sleek object late Tuesday evening.
