SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego Police are searching for an at-risk missing man who disappeared from downtown Saturday morning. According to police, 57-year-old William Groves was last seen at the corner of 7th Avenue and A street around 10:25 a.m. Saturday. Groves suffers from seizures and has short-term memory loss due to a traumatic brain injury. Police say Groves is also a dependent adult with no money or medication and is visiting San Diego from Hawaii with his mother. According to police, Groves is known to be friendly and talkative. He is described as five feet, five inches tall with brown eyes, gray and black hair and light skin. Groves was last seen wearing a yellow t-shirt with checkered shorts and a black eye patch. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego drivers waiting patiently to pick up friends and family at Lindbergh Field will have a new location at the airport starting Monday. San Diego International Airport is relocating its cell phone waiting lot to an area northwest of its current location on June 24. Drivers may park for free in the cell phone lot for up to an hour while they wait for loved ones to notify them of their arrival, avoiding traffic and illegal parking at the terminals.The new 85-space lot will be located east of the Airport Authority Administration Building on Harbor Drive. It will be accessible via a traffic light at Liberator Way, airport officials say. 673

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego Fire-Rescue Thursday pulled a man to safety who fell 30 feet into a trench on the grounds of a work site at UC San Diego. According to the department, the incident happened just before 3 p.m. on Voit Drive at Matthews Lane. Crews used a pulley system to get the worker, a man in his 20s, out of the trench. He was then taken to UCSD Medical Center for treatment of blunt-force injuries and burns he received when he landed on a steam pipe. His condition is unknown at this time. RELATED: 1 dead, 4 injured in accident at construction site at UC San DiegoNearby workers and an officer were able to climb down and stay with the worker until he could be safely lifted out of the trench.The incident comes after one of five workers injured in a construction site accident died on the UC San Diego campus in July of 2019. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego Humane Society officials are searching for the person responsible for abandoning a dog in a San Pasqual Valley canyon recently.A grove manager at Bandy Canyon found the neglected dog Friday, according to society officials. The male dog appeared to be an about 2-year-old pit bull mix.The dog was taken to the humane society's Escondido campus, where a veterinary team gave it IV fluids and placed it on a heated bed, as its temperature was low.Because of the dehydrated, neglected condition of the dog, the society's law enforcement arm has opened a felony animal cruelty investigation.Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477 or SDHS law enforcement at 619-299-7012.This week's incident is the third similar incident to occur in the last month. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego Police Friday arrested a fugitive sex offender from New York who was reportedly spotted in the area this week.Dale Dulac, 57, was arrested just after 1:40 p.m. Friday in the 1500 block of Imperial Ave. peacefully. Dulac was reported in the area after fleeing New York and violating his parole.He was charged with felony vehicle theft and receiving stolen property by San Diego Police. According to the United States Marshals Service, Dulac was also being held on a fugitive warrant for violating his parole when he left Niagara Falls, New York, on Sept. 20. 596
