A fire at a Pennsylvania day care center early Sunday killed five children, including four siblings, officials said.Four people were injured, including two teenagers who jumped from a second-floor window onto a porch of the home in Erie to escape the flames, Erie Fire Chief Guy Santone told CNN in an interview. (WKMG/CNN) -- A 42-year-old Orlando woman is facing murder charges after authorities say she zipped up her boyfriend inside a suitcase.Deputies responded Monday after Sarah Boone reported Jorge Torres, 42, was dead.She told police she put him in the suitcase during a game of hide-and-seek.Boone said they were drinking alcohol, and she passed out in her bed while he was still in the suitcase.But deputies searched her phone and found videos showing Torres yelling he couldn't breathe from inside the suitcase.Boone can be heard laughing and saying, "that's what I feel like when you cheat on me" and yelling obscenities.She is facing second-degree murder charges. 677

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Trump administration’s coronavirus task force has announced strict new guidelines in an effort to restrict the spread of COVID-19, the illness caused by the virus. President Donald Trump said Monday that his administration is recommending the following: – Schooling from home, if possible – Avoiding gatherings of more than 10 people – Avoiding discretionary travel, shopping trips and social visits – And, avoiding bars, restaurants and food courts The White House is also recommending that older people and those with underlying health conditions “stay home and away from other people” as it continues to step up efforts to halt the pandemic.These guidelines are part of a campaign that the administration is calling, “15 days to slow the spread.”Specifically, the task force pleaded for millennials, America’s largest generation, to limit their interactions with others. “They are the core group that will stop this virus,” said Dr. Deborah Birx, the coordinator of the task force. “They are the group that communicates successfully, independent of picking up a phone.”Dr. Birx said millennials intuitively know how to contact each other without being in large social gatherings.“We’re asking all of them to hold their gatherings under 10 people. Not just in bars and restaurants, but in homes,” said Dr. Birx. “We really want people to be separated at this time. Roger Brannen is getting ready to take his medicine. It’s a little more involved than some people might be used to. He has to set up his own IV. But Brannen is used to things not being simple at this point. Just over two years ago he got some news that left him shell shocked. “I always describe it as a bomb going off when I got that diagnosis,” Brannen said. If anyone would know what that’s like, it’s Brannen. He was in the U.S. Marine Corps for 28 years and served tours in both Afghanistan and Iraq. So when he found out he was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as ALS, he thought it was a pretty good metaphor. “You’re processing a lot, like when a bomb goes off, you’re getting that concussion hitting you and you have go react because you don’t know where it came from a lot of the time so you’re trying to make sure the other ones around you are OK but then you also got to make sure that you’re OK,” Brannen said. But he says the diagnosis wasn’t the hardest part. It was telling his kids. “That was the biggest issue to me, trying to explain to my kids that daddy’s not gonna die in two to five years. My son asks me every day, 'you feel better today?' And I’m like, today’s better than yesterday, but I’m still getting up and living,” Brannen said. And that’s one of the reasons Brannen likes to spend time playing video games with his son. “This is what he loves to do, so I have to do something with him to get us closer,” Brannen said. Some time for just the two of them, so they can talk, relax and have fun. But gripping the controller is hard as his muscles and nerves start to degenerate. “The average person probably cramps up once a month, I cramp up more than 20 times a day,” Brannen said.
