SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego Police identified Tuesday the officer involved in a shooting in Little Italy Saturday.Several witnesses flagged down a patrol car driving at 1300 India Street about 6:45 p.m. to let the officer know about a man who was not wearing a shirt and acting belligerently.The SDPD report indicated Officer Anthony Bueno found the man, Brent Zadina, on the hood of a car, yelling at the driver.RELATED: Officer Bueno has history of conflictsZadina appeared to be drunk or under the influence of drugs, police said.Officer Bueno tried to arrest Zadina but he resisted and the officer used his taser, according to the report. Zadina continued to struggle and the officer feared for his life, said the SDPD.Officer Bueno fired one round but missed Zadina. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego Police are investigating reports of a person being shot in the Mount Hope area Friday.San Diego Police said they were investigating reports that a 27-year-old Hispanic man showed up to Scripps Mercy Hospital with gunshot wounds just before 2 p.m. The man was rushed into surgery for life-threatening injuries.Soon after, police responded to the scene of 41st and C streets to investigate the location of the reported shooting.SDPD said based on the evidence gathered, the victim was in an altercation with man when gunshots rang out. The suspect they are searching for is a Hispanic male adult, approximately 29-30 years old who fled the area in a green pickup truck. He was last seen wearing a blue and yellow hat and a green jersey.The vehicle was last seen fleeing southbound on 41st St.SDPD Gang Detectives are investigating the shooting. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego Fire-Rescue crews removed a body from Chollas Lake Monday, fire officials said. The man, identified only as Hispanic and in his mid- to late 20s, was found about noon at the lake at 5850 College Grove Drive in the Oak Park neighborhood. Brianna Yasel and her friends were at the lake and realized something was wrong."I couldn't tell what it was; it looked like a rock to me. Once they pulled it out and flipped it over, my friend was able to see the hand at first and it did look like he was under the water for a while. He just didn't look too good," said Yasel."The body was discovered almost in the center of the lake; a passerby said it looked somewhat suspicious. He noticed it moved by an rock cropping," said San Diego Police Lt. Ernesto Servin.San Diego Police are investigating to determine the cause of death and the man’s identity, according to San Diego Fire-Rescue. The Medical Examiner was also called to the scene.Chollas Lake, which served as a reservoir from 1901 to 1966, is open during daylight hours for recreation. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Residents of San Diego County are still disposing of more waste than the average Californian, according to a report by the research group Equinox Project at the Center for Sustainable Energy.According to the report, San Diego continues to dispose of more waste per capita than any of the other major urban counties throughout the state.The latest numbers, which came out in 2016, show that each San Diegan tossed out an average of 5.5 pounds of trash per day in 2016.Within San Diego County, residents in Del Mar disposed of the most trash at 16.5 pounds per capita.Residents of Imperial Beach, however, disposed of the least trash at 3.3 pounds per person followed by Chula Vista at 3.7 pounds per capita.The numbers show that three jurisdictions, Solana Beach, Lemon Grove and Coronado, decreased their waste disposal in 2016.Residents of within the city of San Diego disposed of 5.9 pounds of waste per person per day.The numbers below show how much trash per capita jurisdictions around the county disposed of: 1052

His sister now works for the Public Health Department and he’s working at Naval Hospital Bremerton in Washington with the preventative medicine team as a contact tracer for COVID-19 patients.He and his team have worked days as long as 18 hours since the start of the pandemic, figuring out where patients contracted the virus.“It’s very very detailed, trying to figure out where they got it and how to try to prevent that from happening for the next person,” he said.Naval Hospital Bremerton has screened more than 35,000 patients as of July 30.“As I do this work, as tough as it is, when this is all over I just want to be able to say I did my part to help get through this,” he said. 1067
