CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- Two siblings, one brother and one sister, had their children at Cape Coral Hospital on the same day, within hours of one another.Kenia Pozo and her older brother Marcus had a daughter and a son on May 14th.Pozo and her brother's girlfriend Katery Lara, gave birth after two subsequent cesarean sections. Pozo was scheduled to have hers first and give birth to a girl, Michaela Rose, just before 8 a.m. Lara gave birth to a boy, Kaiser Alexis, just after 11 a.m. the same day.The two women say they grew especially close during their pregnancies. Initially, Lara was due on May 26th and Pozo was due May 27th. Both women initially thought that they would give birth at least a day apart from one another. Pozo and Lara, who both have the same doctor, discovered they were going to deliver on the same day after scheduling their surgeries. The women said they were happy to have gone through the experience together and they hope their children will share a special bond because of how they came into the world.  1093

CALEXICO, Calif. (KGTV) - Vice President Mike Pence toured the US-Mexico border in Southern California Monday, answering questions about the migrant caravan waiting to apply for asylum.Nearly 200 Border Patrol agents joined the Vice President at the Imperial station in Calexico.Pence said the migrant caravan’s attempt to seek asylum was a direct result of weak immigration laws and a “porous border.”He called on Congress to close what he described as immigration loopholes. Pence also asked for an end to the current catch-and-release policy, and a crackdown on sanctuary cities.“All of this cries out for action and thanks to the leadership to President Donald Trump, we are protecting the American people along our southern border and we are building a wall,” said Pence.Pence toured the construction site of the border fence renovation and received an update on the progress.“This new wall is roughly two or three times taller than the wall that was here today. CASS COUNTY, Ind. — Six people, including four children, died early Wednesday morning in a house fire near Logansport, Indiana.The fire started at about 1:45 a.m., Wednesday in the 4300 block of Pottawatomie Road. Deputies who arrived said they climbed on the roof and broke windows to try and get inside, but the flames were too intense, Logansport Pharos-Tribune reporter Mitchell Kirk said.A man and a woman made it out of the house and were hospitalized. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The Indiana Fire Marshal's Office has assigned three investigators to the site.  634

They don't, however, love actual cars like hatchbacks and sedans --as Ford has learned.Ford said on Wednesday the only passenger car models it plans to keep on the market in North America will be the Mustang and the upcoming Ford Focus Active, a crossover-like hatchback that's slated to debut in 2019.That means the Fiesta, Taurus, Fusion and the regular Focus will disappear in the United States and Canada.Ford will, however, continue to offer its full gamut of trucks, SUVs and crossovers.By 2020, "almost 90 percent of the Ford portfolio in North America will be trucks, utilities and commercial vehicles," the press release says. "The company is also exploring new 'white space' vehicle silhouettes that combine the best attributes of cars and utilities, such as higher ride height, space and versatility."By "white space," the company is referring to vehicles that don't fall neatly into the typical categories.Ford has hinted it might decide to retire much of its sedan portfolio. Earlier this year, James Farley, the company's president of global markets, said Ford is "shifting from cars to utilities," which have been a bigger profit driver.
