Former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton sent mixed messages when she said she did not want to run for president again, but after hesitating she added that she would like to be president someday. When asked by tech magazine Recode's Kara Swisher at a taping Friday of the Recode Decode podcast whether she wanted to run for president again, Clinton said, "No, no."But after a pause and some prodding from Swisher, Clinton said, "Well, I'd like to be president.""I think, hopefully, when we have a Democrat in the Oval Office in January of 2021, there's going to be so much work to be done," she elaborated, later adding, "The work would be work that I feel very well prepared for, having been at the Senate for eight years, having been a diplomat in the State Department, and it's just going to be a lot of heavy lifting."When Swisher asked whether Clinton would be doing that heavy lifting, Clinton replied, "Oh, I have no idea. ... I'm not even going to even think about it till we get through this November 6 election about what's going to happen after that."Swisher tweeted Monday morning that Clinton seemed to mean she would have preferred to win the presidency in 2016, not that she planned to pursue it again."Tweeps, simmer down!" Swisher tweeted. "While it perhaps sounded like @HillaryClinton refused to rule it out, my take is she was basically implying she wishes she were president but doesn't relish running again." 1468

For the first time since the Camp Fire started its deadly rampage 11 days ago, firefighters will get a big assist from rain. The 4 to 6 inches expected later this week will help suppress an inferno that has already killed at least 77 people. It'll also finally improve the heavily polluted and unhealthy air smothering Northern California. But there's a catch: With more than 150,000 acres of newly scorched earth, there's little vegetation to soak up the rain. That means the region is now at risk of mudslides, which could be especially dangerous for firefighters battling the inferno."They're having to fight this fire right now in the mountainous areas -- the ravines, the canyons, very steep, rugged terrain," said Scott McLean, deputy chief for Cal Fire -- the state's forestry and fire protection agency."They're back there on dirt roads, dirt trails, trying to fight this fire. Now it's going to turn into mud, which will be another hazard for them to contend with."Along with mudslides comes the risk of debris flow gushing from the Camp Fire's charred rubble."Recently burned areas could see ash flow ... and even have the potential for debris flow if rain intensity is high enough," the National Weather Service's Sacramento office said.Since the Camp Fire broke out November 8, it's destroyed more than 10,500 homes and torched an area the size of Chicago.Even worse: Fire officials predict the Camp Fire is only halfway done burning. According to Cal Fire, the blaze might not be fully contained until November 30.  1538

Former FBI Director James Comey on Sunday called the House Intelligence Committee Republicans' year-long Russia investigation "a wreck" that damaged relationships with the intelligence community and the federal court that grants warrants to surveil foreigners. The committee released a redacted version of the GOP report on the panel's Russia probe Friday, which found no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia in its attempt to influence the 2016 presidential election. The report also disputed the intelligence community's assessment that Russian President Vladimir Putin tried to help elect Donald Trump. The committee also released a redacted Democratic dissent document that said collusion exists and that Republicans failed to investigate key aspects of the matter.Asked on NBC's "Meet the Press" whether the committee served "a good investigative purpose," Comey responded: "Not that I can see," adding that the probe became politicized "and it wrecked the committee, and it damaged relationships with the FISA Court, the intelligence communities. It's just a wreck."Comey said the resulting GOP report "strikes me as a political document."Trump tweeted about the report on Friday evening, saying it backs his claims that there is no truth to the allegations that his campaign colluded with Russia in Moscow's attempt to interfere in the election."House Intelligence Committee rules that there was NO COLLUSION between the Trump Campaign and Russia," Trump wrote. "As I have been saying all along, it is all a big Hoax by the Democrats based on payments and lies. There should never have been a Special Councel (sic) appointed. Witch Hunt!" Trump wrote on Twitter.Comey disputed the President's assertions when asked during the interview Sunday whether they matched his views."That is not my understanding of what the facts were before I left the FBI, and I think the most important piece of work is the one the special counsel's doing now," Comey said.Comey, who was fired by Trump in May, is on a publicity tour to promote his newly published memoir, "A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership," which paints a critical portrait?of the President. In the book, Comey calles Trump "unethical" and "untethered to the truth" and compares his presidency to a "forest fire."The book prompted a furious response from Trump, who has repeatedly attacked the former FBI director on Twitter, calling him a "leaker" and a "liar."Asked on Sunday whether he would consider Trump a credible witness if the President were to sit down for an interview with special counsel Robert Mueller, Comey said: "I have serious doubts about his credibility.""Whether he were under oath or not?" host Chuck Todd asked?"Correct," Comey said. "And sometimes people who have serious credibility problems can tell the truth when they realize the consequences of not telling the truth in an interview or in the grand jury would be dire. But you would have to go in with a healthy sense that he might lie to you." 3083

Ford is suspending production of the F-150 truck, its best-selling and most profitable vehicle, after a fire at a supplier's plant in Michigan last week.Ford announced that it will suspend production of the F-150 at its plant in Dearborn, Michigan on Wednesday night. It had already suspended truck production at a plant in Kansas City, Missouri. Those are the only plants that make the truck.A company spokesperson said he doesn't know when production will begin again. Ford doesn't expect any disruption for customers or dealerships because it has an 84-day supply of the truck in dealers' inventories. 612
