BEIJING, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese economy is showing signs of stability but domestic demand remains fragile.
Xi stressed that the Johannesburg summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in December 2015 had scored remarkable achievements and ushered in a new era of win-win cooperation and common development between China and Africa. At the summit, Chinese and African leaders discussed cooperation strategy and jointly drew a blueprint for future cooperation, said Xi.
Speaking on Sunday afternoon minutes after welcoming the G20 leaders with handshakes, the president said he hoped the summit would prescribe a cure that would take the global economy onto a healthy growth trajectory.
He also stressed the constant improving of welfare for the disabled and families of the deceased, as well as a guarantee that retired military cadres receive proper benefits.
