(KGTV) One person is dead after being partially sucked out of the window of an airplane.Southwest Flight 1380 was forced to make an emergency landing after engine failure following takeoff from New York. (KGTV) — It's beginning to look a lot like winter in Southern California already.Big Bear Snow Play spent Wednesday making snow for the 2019-2020 season, as Big Bear Lake's temperatures dipped into the low 20s overnight into Thursday. The tubing destination plans to open for the season Saturday, Nov. 2, and remain open on Saturdays and Sundays until Nov. 11, when daily operations will resume. This weekend, temperatures are expected to reach a high of 53 degrees and a low of 23 degrees. 498

(KGTV) --There is another effort to tackle our housing problems in California in the form of Proposition 21.Prop. 21, also known as the Rental Affordability Act, would allow local governments to have more authority over rent control on residential properties over 15 years old.It would exempt individuals who own two homes or less from new rent-control policies.Kimberly Ellis has been renting her current Santee apartment for three years. With rent—plus bills and food—she said everything “is just so expensive.”With her husband facing medical issues and her rent increasing every year, she said rent control is needed. “I live on a budget. It’s hard when the rent goes up,” Ellis said.A television ad for Yes on 21 is sponsored by the AIDS Healthcare Foundation. The organization has committed major funding to the cause.Pt. Loma Nazarene University’s Chief Economist Lynn Reaser said the advertisement “doesn’t even tell us what Proposition 21 even does.”She clarified it for voters.“It allows local governments to set their own rent control measures that would be different from what the state now has, which basically caps rent increases at 5 percent plus rate of inflation,” Reaser said. Brad Sherman, (D-CA), said Thursday he will reintroduce articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump, the LA Times reported.The articles of impeachment for high crimes and misdemeanors were cosponsored by fellow Democratic Rep. Al Green of Texas. Sherman originally filed articles of impeachment in July 2017 claiming the president had obstructed justice in the Russian investigation."There is no reason it shouldn’t be before the Congress," Sherman told the LA Times. "Every day, Donald Trump shows that leaving the White House would be good for our country."Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has already ruled out introducing the move for impeachment, instead, waiting for the outcome of the special counsel investigation. 796
