SAN DIEGO (CNS and KGTV) - A young man and woman who had been dating were found dead in the doorway of a home in the Lake Murray area of San Diego in what authorities said was a murder-suicide.Police received a call about 8 p.m. Tuesday of someone being shot in the 6300 block of Budlong Avenue.When officers arrived, they found 19-year-old Willow Singer and her ex-boyfriend 19-year-old Thomas Hayes with gunshot wounds to the upper body, according to Lt. Anthony Dupree of the San Diego Police Department. SAN DIEGO (AP) — A California tribe whose ancestral lands span across the U.S.-Mexico border is suing the Trump administration to block construction of a section of border wall that the Kumeyaay people say is desecrating sacred burial sites. The La Posta Band of Diegueno Mission Indians filed the lawsuit in federal court in San Diego on Tuesday seeking to temporarily halt construction of the wall until the tribe can protect its religious and cultural heritage. La Posta is one of 12 bands of the Kumeyaay people. The tribe wants its members to be able to monitor work and interrupt it to recover human remains and cultural items uncovered during construction. Issa scheduled a news conference for Thursday and will announce he's seeking the seat held by fellow Republican and longtime-U.S. Rep. Duncan Hunter, who is running for re-election while under indictment on corruption charges, said Larry Wilske, a retired Navy SEAL and Republican also running in Hunter's San Diego-area district.In an interview with The Associated Press on Wednesday, Wilske said Issa told him he will run. SAN BERNARDINO (KGTV) -- A man was seriously injured after falling 100 feet at Mount San Gorgonio Sunday afternoon.According to the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department, 34-year-old Anthony Casteneda was hiking with friends near High Creek Trail when he lost his footing and fell approximately 100 feet.After the fall, Casteneda was unable to hike out of the area due to serious injuries he sustained during the fall. Deputies say Casteneda’s friends were able to call for help. The department had to use a rescue helicopter to hoist Casteneda from the heavily-forested ice-covered slope.In a release, deputies say Casteneda’s rescue was the second of the day Sunday. 684
