Noting that Malaysia is the first country in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to forge diplomatic ties with China, Xi stressed the importance of China-Malaysia ties.
The prime minister voiced hope that China would take an active part in next year's ASEM and the Milan Expo 2015.
"I held talks with the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation recently and confirmed the development of bilateral ties as the pivot of the two countries' legislative cooperation. Increasing communication on legislative experience and creating a better legal environment are determined as the key areas for cooperation," Zhang said, adding that he believed that the pragmatic cooperation between the two sides will help greatly in maintaining high-level China-Russia relations.
Xi made the comment in a meeting with special representative of U.S. President Barack Obama, Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew, in Beijing.
Hong said that China-Australia relations are facing an important opportunity, as China's development has created vast opportunities for Australia.
