(KGTV) — A piece of cinema history located in North San Diego County will soon have a new home.The historic Graves House featured in the 1986 action flick "Top Gun" is being relocated and restored to make room for the Oceanside Beach Resort coming to the property.It's the first time the popular beach cottage rental, which was built about 137 years ago, will be moved.RELATED: Oceanside beach resort closer to construction after decade of delaysNot only is the home significant because it served as "Charlie's" home in the film, but it's a rare folk Victorian home, featuring architecture rarely seen nowadays.The home isn't moving far. OCEANSIDE (KGTV) -- The beach may still be Oceanside’s biggest draw, but increasingly, people are coming for the beer.With seven breweries, several tap rooms and San Diego’s first meadery, Oceanside is earning a reputation among those looking for a pint.“They’ve brought a really interesting liveliness to Oceanside,” said the city’s economic development manager, Michelle Geller.Geller estimates Oceanside’s beer businesses have created 50 to 75 jobs, along with other economic benefits.LIFE IN OCEANSIDE:From 'Ocean Side' to region's third-largest city5 places to spend the day in Oceanside“It tends to give way to businesses that want to have their offices in the downtown,” she said. “Employees just like that creative culture of craft beer.”The oldest active brewery in Oceanside is Breakwater Brewing, the first to take up residence along Coast Highway. Our tip jar had like in it once, people ran in, grabbed it and ran out. We started gluing it to the table. OMAHA, Nebraska — Omaha resident and Sutton native Elliott Bottorf got a surprise while on a Saturday morning drive in North Central Nebraska. Bottorf and his wife passed a longhorn steer riding in the passenger's side of a sedan on Highway 20 near O'Neill.  A cattle guard replaced the passenger's door and part of the roof was taken off the vehicle for the steer's head to stick out.As of Wednesday, the video, which he posted to Facebook on March 17, had been viewed more than 3.8 million times and shared more than 80,000 times.Some have commented wondering if the steer was real or fake."At first, I wasn't sure if it was alive or not but after reviewing the video you could clearly see that it had some snot coming out of its nose," Bottorf explained. "You could see its eyes blinking."The driver and the steer were on their way to O'Neill to be in the St. Patrick's Day Parade. 922

OCEANSIDE, Calif. - A U.S. Border Patrol agent was arrested in North San Diego County on suspicion of possessing heroin and a short-barrel rifle, Oceanside Police reported Tuesday.Officers were patrolling an apartment complex on Los Arbolitos Blvd. where a suspicious person had been reported last week. That's when they reportedly found Brandon Herrera. He was passed out in the driver’s seat of a Ford pickup truck parked on a nearby street, police said.Oceanside Police said they found more than five grams of heroin and a weapon at the scene.The U.S. Border Patrol confirmed with Scripps station KGTV in San Diego it is gathering information about the report.Herrera is due in court April 17. 719

One day after President Donald Trump signed a 0 billion stimulus bill into law, the House of Representatives voted to increase direct payments to most Americans from 0 to ,000 per person.The bill had wide Democratic support, but failed to capture a majority of Republicans. The bill passed with just over two thirds of the House voting in approval. The vote won the Democratic caucus by a 231-2 margin, Republicans voted 44-130 and independents voted 0-2.The legislation now goes to the US Senate, where its future is in question.
